I have had a few engine kits now and this one is for sure the best, nothing was missing or broken unlike some other kits, provided is also the best feeling throttle and clutch I have seen, engine runs and starts amazingly and can take a real beating,100% would recommend.

Had a problem with my original order but was dealt with promptly. The product itself is fiddly so you need patients but isn't hard to fit. Thread lock is a must. Everything else is fun. Cheaper and more eco friendly than an electric bike.

I've a collection of mopeds and cycle motors dating from the 40s and one in particular had engine problems so I decided to try this little motor in place of the original as the bicycle is taxed and insured with an MOT and V5-so all road legal! The fitting was quite difficult as the original bike wheel would not accept the rear drive cog and I had to source a new hub and wheel and lace it unto a suitable rim. This worked well and I was able to attach the rear drive gear to the hub with a single speed screw on retaining ring, I then attached it to the rear wheel with large washers and lock nuts. I had to re-drill the gear to get it to match up with the spokes. As you can imaging this took me some time to achieve! Next I attached the motor which was fairly straightforward although when I refitted the cranks and peddles they fouled on the motor so I had to remove the cranks and put an s bend in them-not easy! The exhaust also wouldn't fit so I had to open up the holes in the exhaust flange and make up a new gasket. The chain was a struggle to fit getting it around the cogs and then removing some links and it still makes a clattering noise when you rotate the back wheel. Fuel tank and lines were easy and wiring straightforward with everything you need in the kit which I think is great value as just the repair to one of my old engines magneto is £110. Initially the engine was extremely tight and stopped when you pulled the clutch but I've now done about 20 miles and everything is bedding in nicely, I've no speedo but at the moment 20mph is about all the motor will manage-this is quite enough on an old bike. I'm using about 10-1 mix for the first few miles then will gradually reduce the oil to the recommended amount.This is a great little kit for the price-I doubt the engine will last long but at this price who cares.After about 50 miles the engine would not run properly and the carburettor was flooding, I thought the needle valve was sticking but turned out the float was leaking. I reported the problem and a new float was sent promptly.Great service, thank you.

Engine was completely seized up on arrival. It takes absolutely massive effort to get the engine to turn physically, and the resistance offered is so high that you could never get it started.Just an absolutely awful, terrible kit that is absolutely NOT worth the money. I cannot emphasise strongly enough to AVOID this product/seller.UPDATE: The engine turned out to be missing its cylinder gasket, and effectively welded itself together when I finally got it started. I now have a seized up engine with no means of disassembly. This product isn't just bad, it's incompetently built from the factory to a degree that is alarmingly negligent. If you care about your own safety or that of others, please do NOT buy this kit. It's priced cheap for a reason, because it's dangerously low quality.To other buyers: Why are you noting potentially dangerous issues like leaking carbs, confusing instructions etc and still rating 5 stars?

Had an issue with the cylinder base gaskets causing engine not to run well. Seller has offered 10% off the cost so i can buy the part .. good service

Exactly as described. Everything present and working. Mechanical knowledge required. Instructions could be better, as the order doesn't make much sense and the pictures are not very clear or easy to see. Not much of an issue for me as I'm a mechanic. Hardware is cheap but expected. The engine mounts fitted my bike fine but the studs too short, I didn't like the idea of drilling the bike frame as instructed so just made longer studs and fitted fine

The hole cylinder is one piece and very fragile needs work to get it running good but overall bottom end and carburettor seem fine wouldn’t recommend running it whith fuel tank it comes with cause fuel filter got blocked by paint In tank everything else works fine but be prepared to spend a bit off money on parts for engine like cdi, magneto,cylinder performance cylinder head things like that
