Castelmuro Styrian Pumpkinseed Oil from OliveNation for Sweet or Savory Dressings, Sauces - 16.9 ounce bottle

Wonderful! My family is from Austria. We have tried many different brands of pumpkinseed oil and up until now they were all wrong. Most were too bitter or had an aftertaste. This one is authentic! The flavor and color are perfect. The oil has a nutty flavor and is dark green brown, almost green black which is as it should be. Those of you that are familiar with this oil, you know what to do with it. For those that may not be familiar, this is a salad oil/finishing oil - not for cooking. My two favorite ways to use it are very simple. First way is Bean salad: Cooked beans -rinsed (I use navy or great northern but my mom likes pinto beans,) chopped green onions, white wine vinegar, salt and pepper to taste and then Styrian Pumpkinseed Oil. Ratio of oil to vinegar I use is about 50/50 but proportion to your taste. Make the salad at least a few hours ahead. Second way is Potato salad - same as the bean salad but with cooked sliced potatoes. Love to serve the potato salad as a side dish to grilled salmon or if we are really going nostalgic, schnitzel or fried rabbit. Again this is a great product, I will be ordering again soon!

Just like the original Austrian pumpkinseed oil, roasted with a greenish golden hue, not overpowering and nice to add to salads. Exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend this product. Not only does it taste good, it comes in a nice glass bottle which is green in color and helps preserve the quality of the oil. If it's too thick I simply use olive, grapeseed, avocado or vegetable oil to thin it out. Putting it in the refrigerator may be tough as it has a tendency to thicken up naturally. Very satisfied with this purchase and will buy again!

I love pumpkin seed oil! They try to sell it as authentic styrian pumpkin seed, but it's not. However, it tastes better than other brands. You can use this oil on lots of things due to it's nutty taste. It tastes delicious on vanilla ice cream. I would use the oil within 2 months of opening. STAIN REMOVAL TIP. If you spill on clothing, wash it as normal and lay it out in the sun to dry. The green stain goes away like magic :)

This is very good Pumpkin Seed Oil. I only wished there would be a way to get it a little cheaper. However, I've tried a little cheaper offer once and was very disappointed. It tasted old and rancid, so in conclusion if you want to really enjoy the great nutty flavor of this oil you'll have to really buy good quality. It tastes wonderful drizzled on salads or even on a pasta dish. It gives another just wonderful layer of flavor. And from what I understand, the health benefits are great.

Love this pumpkin oil! Fabulous rich taste! What's not to love about it! I prepared a bean salad that a previous poster submitted and made a few changes to her orginal recipe. I used a can of black beans rinsed and warmed. Then I added cut green onion tips, pepito seeds, crumbled bacon pieces, vinegar and pumpkin oil to taste and just a bit of sea salt as well. Deeelish! A great side dish. You will love it. Thanks to previous poster for this great idea!

I searched for this oil after watching a show about a Parisian chef who cooked vegetables then only dressed them with pumpkin seed oil. I read the reviews on Amazon and everyone was right on. This is wonderful, wonderful tasting oil. I have put it on naked spaghetti, vegetables, in soup and however else I can think to use it. It has a unique nutty taste and a beautiful deep green color. It has incredible health benefits- combats inflammation, helps men with prostatitis, etc.... I bought one for a friend and one for my mom after tasting it. Since beginning of March I have order 5 bottles for myself and friends.
