Tricky
This is somewhat intimidating to use at first. Little one did not like it at all. I wasn’t able to get much mucus out but I did get some.

Gross and effective!
My husband was nice enough to pass on some of his allergies to our infant daughter, so we are all very familiar with nose drops and those silly bulb aspirators. I was the only one in the house who could get them to work, but still had to do it several times per nostril to clean her nose out so she could breathe freely (and having a runny nose was just pissing her off, nobody likes a mad baby). Man she hates the bulb of death. She's stolen and hidden it quite a few times! So i read some reviews, got some recommendations, and heck - it was cheap! I gave this style aspirator a try, and I am a big fan.My husband insisted I give only 4 stars (minus 1/2 for the sound of sucking snot out of your own child's nose, and minus 1/2 for seeing the snot being sucked out). 5 star product for those of us who aren't babies about snot.**It does work VERY WELL, so go easy the first time so you can get a feel for the correct pressure. I assumed it would be as difficult as the bulb style so I gave it too much oomph and gave my girl the biggest fright of her life! Also very briefly sucked the wind right out of her; she needed a second of recovery before screaming like I'd just removed brain matter. Now, I mimic the squelching sounds it makes and pull silly faces and she thinks having her nasal mucous removed is the funniest damn thing ever. And now her nose is clear. And she can sleep....so I can sleep!

You get what you pay for; Buy the Nosefrida
I had a Nosefrida, however I lost the syringe and mouth piece, and could no longer use it. I didn't want to drop another $20 on one, so I chose this product because of the price. It does work, however I felt like my lungs were going to collapse every time I sucked. I seriously had to put some muscle into it every time I wanted to clear my kid's nose. I finally got smart and attached the syringe and mouth piece to my Nosefrida and I no longer have to huff and puff just to get some boogers out. Nosefrida is worth the price.

I don't like it
The nose piece is hard, so if your baby squirms it can hurt the nose. I fond another one with a soft tip that works perfect for us (Cozy Baby Nasal Aspirator)

Amazing, 3 yrs strong!
I have had this for almost 3 years. My daughter has severe allergies and constantly has nasal blockage due to lots of mucus. This has been the only thing that helps. I spray her nose with saline and wait a couple of minutes and then use the baby nose clear and it works wonders. Recently my cat got ahold of the filter and put a hole in in so it's no longer usable. I bought the nosefrieda as a back up until I could get another one of these. Lets just say I will be returning that tomorrow. It did absolutely nothing for her. The suction was horrible. And like I said, it was just a temporary fix, since the filters are supposed to be a one time use, I would spend tons of money since with the nosefrieda I'd have to use about 3 filters a day. Not worth it. I will stick with the baby nose clear.

Save your money
I thought I would try this to save some money rather than buying filters for the Nosefrida. Big mistake! This has NO SUCTION AT ALL!! I promptly returned it and purchased some filters. Stick with NoseFrida, its totally the best!!!!

We Now Give this as Baby Gift!
This thing is way better than what you get in the hospital. Bulb aspirators are not very effective and our baby screamed when we used it. She cries a bit when we use this, but it is only because we are holding her still. Then it's over quick, and she realizes it was no big deal. I think the bulb aspirators actually scared her. My husband is the sucker, and he hasn't had a problem with suction and getting stuff out. She's 6 months old now and we still use it, just less often since she seems to have gotten better at clearing stuff out of her nose. Not having to buy replacement filters is great. I don't think anything has actually hit the filter yet. It seems to be more peace of mind for the sucker.

Didn't work for me...
The thing you put in the mouth (Sorry, I can't find the right word) is too short, so it is very uncomfotable to use.
