Must havr for medium/small systems
Working great! I do need the BT attachment though. I can see how it would be helpful to not run to the controller to change settings. Also the data logging is great. Checked it after running for 33 days and realized I had alot of.room to.use more power if I wanted

I received this well packaged, no signs of shipping problems, but the 4 screw mounts that hold the cover plate were all broken out. I super-glued the crumbled black plastic molding back together with the brass inserts in the holes, and as of today it seems to be holding fine. I chose this model because it has a program setting for Lithium Ion batteries, whereas most other charge controllers don't. Operation of the controller is pretty simple, and has lots of settings and information to view. With my current setup I have 2 100W panels hooked up in series, a 300aH Li-Ion battery, and a 5000 W pure sine wave inverter. I'm still learning on how long it takes to charge the battery, as the % setting seems a little off. the display will get to 100% with the battery at 13.6V, but the charger will continue to charge it up to 14.4 v (24-36 hours later). at this setting, the battery will last about 36 hours with a ~500W load & panels still connected. At 13.6V the battery seems to last 6 hours at same load. Also, my inverter will trigger the "low voltage" alarm at different battery %'s; I've heard it beep at 40% when not fully charged, and when fully charged, all the way down to 0% before the beep. On a cloudy day, the panels could not keep up with the load and the battery ran low & needed to flip on an external power supply.

Disappointed...
Received a used or refurb model... The far right button is broken so you cannot change settings without using the AWFUL PC SOFTWARE. There are obvious signs of use. I thought I was upgrading from a 40A Tracer because of the user adjustable settings but not even close. The load constantly shuts off with a short circuit error code even though all my loads are fused, totaling less than 1A, and professionally wired by myself with years of electrical knowledge and respect. Was excited, now disappointed to say the least. Only my second, but most likely my last Renogy charge controller.

Lasted 18 months
It worked well until a fuse on the RV battery blew. When the instructions tell you to connect the battery first they mean it. And if there is ever any battery disconnect, intentional or otherwise this unit is toast.
