A beast of a cooler, perfect for 9800X3D
This cooler is perfect for my 9800X3D, keeping it cool and looking good while doing it! It's built like a tank as I've come to expect from Noctua, and installation was easy. This thing is quiet even at high speeds. I love it.

Works great for a 7950x3D
I installed this on a 7950x3D cpu in a Fractal Design North mesh case. It cools my CPU well, even when pushing the CPU to 99%. It is quiet and was easy to install.

Easy install, massive improvement
I'm still running an i7 7700k. No overclock. It works good enough for me for now (waiting to see how Lunar Lake turns out in the next 6-8 months). Had an Intel TS15A cooler which was good enough 5-6 years ago. It has always given me about 90C temps under load. Recently started hitting 100c and throttling hard. Cleaned everything, still happened. Figured maybe it needed to be pulled and re-pasted. But then figured if I'm going through all that, I'll just upgrade the cooler. Went with the NH-D12L simply for the cost/performance ratio and not a size constraint. It's more than adequate for the 7700k. I pulled the Intel cooler off and the paste looked perfect. So I'm not really sure why the recent throttling. My case moves a ton of air. The only thing I can figure is it getting data faster from an NVMe drive upgrade. I put the Noctua on, reassembled, then put it under heavy load and haven't seen more than about 78C max temps. Plus the added benefit of much less fan noise.

Excellent CPU Cooler for 4U server chassis
What really needs to be said. It’s a Noctua product, fits nicely within the confines of my 4U SilverStone server chassis, and keeps my CPU (an older i9-9900K) nice and cool, all while barely making any noise.

The Ultimate ITX cooler!
For a small form factor build, this is the ultimate cooler, bar none. It's small enough to fit in an ITX case, for me, the Lian-li TU150. The offset is MOST useful, I put the think tower over the RAM, and did a rear intake- front vent configuration. Result is cooling 5° Warmer than my large O11 - Dynamic XL build with 10 fans. You can't get a better cooler for ITX builds!

In Noctua I Trust
I’ve never trusted liquid coolers in my builds so always stick with air coolers. This one is amazing and really helps keep the temps low. Working great with no complaints. I always use Noctua fans through my cases.

Sick of Amazon sending someone else's returns as new items
Ordered this cooler/heatsink because I use them alot on servers as they fit the rack cases we use. Always a great product and they work well. The reason for the 1 star rating is that I paid good money for a NEW unit, but they sent me someone else's garbage return. The heatsink had compound all over it, even on the cooling tubes. But that's not the worst problem. When I opened the harware box, half the mounting hardware and screws were missing. I can clean the heatsink, but at this point this kit is useless. Now I have order another unit and waste another day or two to get this server finished. Hopefully the next one won't be garbage. QUIT SENDING USED RETURNS AS NEW PRODUCTS. IT IS DECEPTIVE AND BASICALLY IT'S FRAUD.

Cools a 5950x
Quiet and Idle temps are around 40c instead of 60’s coming from stock wraith prism cooler. Fits in a Corsair 280x crystal case due to low height. Only con is it’s expensive so you’re paying for Noctua quality.

Kühlt meinen AMD 9800x3d in meinem Sff Build perfekt. Bei Aircooling geht für mich nichts über Noctua. Ob Lüfter oder CPU Kühler. Lautstärke und Qualität top. Und noch dazu aus Österreich. Dafür gebe ich gerne ein paar Euro mehr aus.

I installed this cooler onto my Asus strix z690e as it is the largest air cooler that fits without modifications onto my board due to large vrm design. I was replacing a deepcool lt520 as I get weary with AIO coolers and enjoy the reliability of air coolers, let me just say …. Wow ! The quality of the cooler , instructions and fans is superb , it is barely audible even when gaming and it keeps my 12700k around 60c in super demanding games. I am waiting for some extra fan clips from Noctua to attach a second fan to the front for a push pull config but this is hands down the highest quality and best air cooler I have ever used.
