Excellent stopping/backspin and weight
I have golfed for over 30 years and never used gap wedges or sand clubs. I love these! The weight, grip size and surface provide an excellent "feel". The milled grooves stop the ball dead in its tracks with backspin on the green. No more guessing range with my pitching wedge. I bought these, a Mazel chipper, and a chipper-putter a couple months ago. After about 10-12 rounds with these, I have noted a reduction of 8-10 strokes per game. Excellent clubs at a very fair price! They also appear built to last, though time will tell.

Great value
I just played a round with the 56° wedge!and wow it is very forgiving and tons of spin. I was able to stop it fast and constantly every time. The grip feels great and it is very easy to hit.I definitely like it more than my Cleveland wedge.

Great finish and materials.
I am a plus 1 handicap and golf Instructor. I left my clubs in Michigan and came back to Florida for a few weeks. I bought a used set of t100 irons but didn't want to spend a lot on wedges.Check out send-golf on youtube for more info.I bought the 54 Yamato with the NY NY looking logos and four blue dots.Inhave a set of 52 56 60 grind 4 tiger woods taylormade wedges with my normal clubs so I didn't want to spend much.I also tried a set of costco wedges. These are way better than the costco wedges. These have a great finish and milled faces.I bought the 54 for 33 bucks. I played 18 holes twice and it played well for both my 56 and 52 degree shots. And can send up a flop shot in a pinch.I drive the ball a long way so I hit my wedges a lot. Out of probably 7 approach shots and 5 chips per round only one shot felt clunky. The ball spins well off the face with both a TP5x and a Volvik 100 compression long drive ball. The wedge didn't rip up the softer ball like my taylormades do, but still gave me check and stop spin from.40 to 115 yards. Are they 250 dollar wedges? No the shaft is a little light. But for the price, they are well worth it. For anyone wanting a matching set at a super price I will suggest these to any mid handicap or below. A high handicapped may find the bounce a little low, they may dig a little, but overall I was surprised and happy with them.I changed the grip and added a half inch extension and it played great.I may even buy the whole set and play them, just to rub it in when I beat my friends.

Cool Looking, Backspin Machine—Just Don’t Blame the Club If You Suck!
Let me start by saying this Yamato 60° wedge is a beauty. It’s sleek, gives some serious backspin, and has mysteriously unlocked the flop shot in my game. Now, I’ve never been able to hit a flop shot before, and to be honest, I’m still not hitting them on purpose, but they sure look cool when they happen! Does this wedge make me a better golfer? Well… no, I still suck. But let’s be clear—that’s not the club’s fault. My buddy borrowed it during our round yesterday, and now he’s already talking about buying one for himself. So, if you’re like me and can’t resist adding a flashy, backspin-heavy wedge to your bag (even if it won’t magically fix your game), do yourself a favor and grab this one. Who knows? Your accidental flop shots might just impress someone!oh an its a great price!!

These are solid wedges.
For anyone wondering if these are up to par with higher end irons like Cleveland/Taylormade/Vokey, they are. They look sharp and play nice. They're just as "soft" as any wedge I've played. The grips and overall presentation of the club are superb. However, there is NO chance these wedges are conforming for USGA tournaments. If you play money games often, you might have some people say something as well. U-grooves and an extra milled face cause WAY too much spin on pitch/chip shots. I play off a 4-7 handicap and like to play different wedge shots. Even placing the ball back in the stance for a little roll out hardly works. These wedges will stop the ball out of wet, deep rough all day long. You pretty much have to throw every shot at the hole, even on fast greens. It's a bit annoying for me, as I'm used to not doing this... but for most amateurs they will be just FINE.

fantastic for me
I just got back into golf but I didn't have a real good PW or SW. So I bought these after watching some videos on them. Let me tell you these shaved 10 strokes off of my game so far. They hit and feel fantastic, they don't go far at all which is why I love them, anything under 100 yards for me I have always struggled with, but with these irons I am completely satisfied.

Great Value
Great set of wedges, get good height & distance without having to over swing the clubs. Would recommend for anyone looking for affordable quality wedges.

grooves cut the golf ball up
The good; its comfortable hits consistently and the ball sticks when it lands. (which I normally can't do)The bad: the grooves on the head are kinda sharp and actually cuts my golf ball when I hit it. I'm assuming the harsh grooves is how the ball gets the backspin to sit when it lands. So its a give/take. I'll keep in the bag though.

Fantastic value.
I bought these as my first wedge set and chose 50,54,58 lofts. I wanted them quickly for an upcoming golf trip to Spain. I had been looking at the Lazrus set for £189 but they were out of stock. I saw the Yamato full face wedges which looked very similar on offer at £112 (also free delivery from the USA). I took a punt with the view it’s not a massive financial risk and how bad could they be compared to my current set. They actually arrived 90mins before I had to head to the airport so quickly in the bag and away.I have to say they felt great from the 1st shot. They have nice midsize grips and are heavier than my old wedges which gave me the confidence to swing easy and let the club do the work. I don’t normally see any check on my pitch/chip shots but all of a sudden there it was. Yes they are black and will mark but for the price I don’t mind. They seem to be very good quality. I’m not sure if they are forged like the Lazrus set but as the grooves and milling look identical they may be. As an 18hcp player I’m not yet good enough to notice any forged benefits.I’m very impressed so you may be too.
