I do need a couple of rugs. I could possibly use one in my galley kitchen and one of these would fit in well there. However, I have a more pressing need in my bedroom and also at the top of the stairs into my attic TV room. Both of the carpets there are starting to get a little flattened and I am not yet ready to replace them. A couple of strategically placed rugs will give both areas a new lease of life and save me the cost of refurbishment. Grey is a suitable enough colour for both locations.These mats are reasonably well made. Nothing that makes them of stellar quality but decent enough. The pile is reasonably thick and being made from polypropylene should be quite resistant to staining and would make them very suitable for in the kitchen. They have a non slip backing and I am hopeful this will help to stop them moving around the room. They do need a little time for the creases to work their way out but I don't think that will take too long.One great feature, as far as I am concerned, is that they are machine washable. If they do pick up any staining or dirt then a quick trip to the washing machine should restore them to their former glory.Value wise I reckon that £39.99 for two very functional and versatile mats, each of a practical size, represents a pretty good deal and could help reduce the wear on your more expensive carpets. They can , because of their waterproof nature, be used anywhere in the house, including the bathroom and kitchen.
