Three kids, a puppy and white marble floors...
I have three kids, a puppy plus an entry way and a large kitchen floor that is white marble and all I can say is that I love this mop/broom.Puppy: As you can imagine puppy has had her fair share of accidents. When she does I pick up the excess liquid with paper towels but then I get out the environmentally friendly pet stain cleaner, spray the area where the accident was and get out my StarMop. I slap on the mop pad to the mop base. The hook and loop strips hold the pad nice and firm. I have never had a pad budge once I get it in place on the mop base. Then I mop the area up quickly. No using a one-time use cleansing pad that then gets thrown in the trash, no hauling out a string mop and bucket, no sloshing water everywhere, etc. I just toss the mop pad in the laundry to be washed. Done! Or if I need the pad ready again and I don't want to wait for the laundry. I just toss some soap and hot water on the pad and hand wash it, wring it out and hang it up to dry by the sewn on loop. :)Now for whole floor mopping for whatever the kids and puppy drag in on their feet from outside: I fill a spray bottle with warm water and mild detergent. I spray the floor, and using the mop pad I mop up the floor. The large size of the mop pad makes it so that mopping my kitchen takes far less time and effort than a traditional fiber mop and bucket or even a sponge mop. And as I said there is no moving a bucket full of soapy water around and sloshing etc. After I have mopped up the floor using just my spray bottle :)...I then remove the mop pad, rinse it in hot water and do a once over to wipe up the detergent residue. The floor is clean, and dries faster since there isn't a lot of excess water and soap on the floor. I truly love that I don't have to throw out gallons of dirty water too!The microfiber pad for sweeping: I love this as a broom. The microfiber pad is a good size. Not too big that it won't fit under chairs and barstools, but large enough that you can clean a large area in no time. I use the dry microfiber pad to sweep up, then remove the pad from the base, take it out on the back porch and just shake it out. It is amazing how much, dust, dirt, pet hair, and crumbs that go flying when I shake the microfiber pad out. After shaking it out, it is good to go for the next cleaning. Once a week I toss it in the wash and get it thoroughly clean. If you have a large hard surface, pets and/or kids, do yourself a favor and get this mop/broom!

Terrific, easy, effective, sturdy, mop!
Great mop - just what I have been looking for! Arrived super fast. I was astounded at how well the mop cleaned my wood and tile floors. I just mopped with my Bona pads. Moped with this new mop and was amazed at how much more dirt there was and how easily it cleaned the floor and, just with water! In addition, the dirt rinsed out of the mop pad so easily, not like other pads I have used like the Bona where the dirt imbeds ad stains the pad. Great cross between a traditional string mop and a microfiber pad mop. The pole is sturdier than the Bona poles. And no smelly wet mop to deal with afterward!

good cotton mop head replacements are hard to find now
I have always used a thick cotton mop. As I've gotten older, it was harder on my hands to wring it out. In addition, good cotton mop head replacements are hard to find now. When I saw a nurse at a hospital using something similar to this, I asked her about it, and began looking for one. I chose this one, and couldn't be happier.Pro's: !) It lies flat next to a baseboard, so it cleans up closer to the baseboard. 2) I can get under couches, beds, and other things, much easier. 3) It is easier to wring out than a traditional mop. 4) Since it wrings out drier, my floors seems to dry much faster. 5) It seems to leave a smooth, clean, trackless surface. Sometimes a regular mop would leave tracks. 6) I just rinse it out when I'm through, and let it dry. Then wash it in with my towels after 3 or 4 uses. Keeps it clean and neat.I had a little trouble trying to figure out how to put it back on the velcro handle, straight, after rinsing it out. Simple. I rinse it out in my mop water, wring it out, toss it face down on the floor, then place the Velcro head down on it and start mopping again.

Great at cleaning but a little poor on the handle workmanship
We have woodfloors throughout our tiny house and I was so happy to find this product. The pad is nice and thick and immediately started leaving the floors spotless. I've tossed it in the washer a few times now and it seems to be holding up well. There was one review that mentioned that the pad can pull away from the backing and so I'm being careful about how I pull it off so that I can avoid that. I've also noticed that it it still leaves bits of crud behind, so I'm keeping towel in hand to wipe those up while I mop. But we have a hairy dog, and a toddler, and I can't expect a product to be perfect. The only big complaint that I have is that the wand keeps unscrewing itself from the base while I'm in the process of washing. Every few minutes or so I have to stop and screw it back in. It's worth it because it's getting my floors clean so quickly, and I don't really want to take the time to send it back for something so small. But it's annoying enough that I'm taking a star away.

BEST DRYMOP
I own a cleaning company I don't use anything other than this mop. It's slightly longer than the normal dry mop which makes a HUGE difference. The other ones, I feel like I'm hunched over mopping the floors - I'm 5'1". It's sturdy and we use them constantly. None have had to be replaced yet. The 1st one I got was probably 3 - 4 years ago. Still works like new. I would highly highly recommend this mop to anyone looking

Used for 8 weeks and the pole slips
The system itself seemed like a great idea but we have used it maybe 12 times in the last 2 months and now I have to keep the 2 piece pole together with an elastic band. Honestly, I would expect to use the mop system more then 12 times before it would break.
