"Wham Bam Out of a Jam!"
This is a product you must have, but will hopefully never use. As for the product itself, it is well made, strong, lightweight and compact.I purchased this safety hammer for my 85 year old mother. She frequently drives past a river near her home, and several times expressed concern to me about her fears. She has even driven three miles out of her way to avoid the river. When I saw this safety hammer on Amazon I was skeptical. It did not look like something my aged mother could operate, let alone twists open the safety caps to engage the tools. The safety hammer is very well made. It is lightweight but very durable. It has a carrying strap as well as a stick-on holder, so you can place this tool anywhere inside your vehicle. That was not my concern, however. My main concern was whether or not my 85 year old mother could learn how to use it?To my relief, she found the twist-off cap easy to remove. She tested the seatbelt cutter on a thickly padded envelope, and it sliced through effortlessly. Her smile of gratitude reassured me.My mother no longer takes the long way around, but drives alongside the river in her neighborhood. She keeps one safety hammer in her driver side door pocket. She wears the other safety hammer on a chain around her neck, and when she remembers, she leaves the chain in her glovebox when exiting the car. While I hope my mother never has to use the safety hammer, its presence has given her confidence and peace of mind. Knowing it was designed with the elderly in mind alleviates my concerns. It's a cleverly designed, compact, easy-to-operate, and durable device. You can’t put a price on a lifesaving device, but at $15.00 you can’t afford to be without it.

Shattered the included glass disc
SNJHM 2 Pack Car Window Breaker Seatbelt Cutter, blackI'm impressed that just pressing hard shattered the included glass disc. The glass flew everywhere. Make sure you do the testing in an enclosed area (like a deep sink) so you're not searching for pieces of glass after.I haven't tested the knife because I don't have some old strap available but will for sure test it when I come across one.I bought these as extras, not to leave in a car but to carry as edc. We lease cars and take rideshare. I want a small tool in case the car we're in just happen to drive off the road and into some body of water (happened less than 6 months ago. A young lady drove into a pond .). I hope I would have to presence of mind to take this out of my bag's outside pocket and be able to hold it to push against the side window. A short wrist lanyard would probably be helpful to reduce the chance of dropping the tool and then fumbling around feeling for it while the water is continuously rising in the car.

Convenient little tool
The pack that I got came with two tools, two small holders that you can stick anywhere in your car, and two small circular pieces of glass to use to test the window breaker. Each tool has a glass breaker on one side and a seatbelt cutter on the other. The test pieces of glass were a nice surprise because I didn't see them mentioned in the product description. It gave me piece of mind to be able to test the tool to make sure it worked and be confident that I would know how to use it in an emergency. You have to use a bit more force than I expected in order to break the glass, but it broke in one go once enough force was added. I did not test the seatbelt cutter.

Good Idea
So this does work and it even comes with a piece of glass so you can test it out. the only issue we had is the red one, the lids won't stay on either end so we didn't put this in our other car yet.

Nice
I got these for my car. Luckily I haven’t had to use them. They seem nice and wonderful if you find your self in a bad situation. They are light weight which is nice.

Nicely Made, Requires A LOT of Pressure to Break Glass
These are nicely made of machined aluminum. The end caps are held on with a rubber O-ring for quick access in an emergency. Also included in the package are U-shaped plastic mounting clips, which you can attach to the underside of the vehicle dashboard out of sight using the included very strong 3M "VHB" (Very High Bonding) double-sided tape. However, the U-shaped plastic clips would benefit from a stronger grip on the device so it doesn't shake loose in an accident and become lost in the vehicle. One end of the device has a seat belt cutter, and the other end has a hidden, spring-loaded metal pin that briefly protrudes when you press the device hard against a glass surface. See photos attached to this review. When the metal pin strikes the glass surface, the glass will shatter into little pea-sized pieces, because auto glass is made from tempered glass. However, it takes quite a bit of force to activate the spring-loaded metal pin, which I measured at 50 pounds using a scale. That seems like A LOT of force for a person to apply sideways against a car window. Also included in the package are two tempered glass discs, which I didn't initially notice because they are clear and the packaging is also clear. These glass discs are provided to test the device.Overall, this is a well made device, and it's nice that it's a two pack, but the amount of force required to use the device (50 pounds of force) seems high to me.

Good to have
I have kept one of these safety devices on my keychain for years. However, the plastic clip recently broke and I decided to order this set of two devices. I plan to put one device in my car, and keep the other one on my key ring in case I am riding in someone else’s car. It is good to have one of these in case of emergency, especially as I have to drive over a low water bridge that is prone to flooding in rainy weather.Included in the kit are two circular samples of tempered glass. I used the hammer side of the device to see if I could break the glass. Despite having severe arthritis in both my hands, I had no difficulty in using the device to break the glass sample. Just pressed until the mechanism clicked, at which point the glass shattered. The seatbelt cutting blade appears to be sharp, but safely hiden, so there is no danger of hurting oneself while using it. These devices look much sturdier that my older one. I am very pleased with my order and hope I never have to use either one.
