It works fine for minor bugs, but not big swarms.
I took these patches on three separate campouts. It is nice to keep flying insects away from the face. I found I still needed to use spray at least on my legs. You might be okay if you you wear long pants, but that is kinda out of the question when it's 90+ degrees outside. They are also really smelly, which I think is the major detractor for the insects.

Highly Suggest! Must Have Outdoors Item!
These things actually work. Kept coming across them on my social media platforms. Had a family trip planned for the 4th, so I ordered these to have for it. Used these suckers every day! The worked great! Used them on us adults and then got the kid ones for my littles and they worked great! Put 2 in my 6month olds pack n play and he never got any bug bites the whole trip. Same with my other 2 older kids. I would much rather wear these over spraying myself with the bug spray. They have the same smell, except I’m not putting it all over our body and clothing.

Strong smell repels mosquitos
The good news is that I didn’t get bit when using this product. The bad news is that the smell is very strong. I started by placing one sticker on my shirt sleeve and one inside my tent. Within a few minutes I was pretty light headed. I ended up moving the sticker to the cuff of my pants leg and was fine. I also removed the sticker from the inside of my tent and used it outside only.
