I have had 2 IP cameras already but they all need APPs and a phone/tablet to work with. This baby monitor comes with a screen so you could free your phone or tablet to do something else.The camera unit needs to be powered by the socket all the time while the monitor screen can be either powered by a second power cable (provided in the package) or 4 x AAA batteries. This offers more flexibility as you could take the monitor with you to other rooms. I tested the transmission range in the flat - you will have very good signal within your flat, and you only lose signal if you go 2 level downstairs. I cannot try the range for going upstairs since we are at top floor. Therefore I think it could work pretty well in a house as well.

Not impressed. We only need a camera short term so went for a cheap model but now regret it. Camera quality is very poor... nothing can be seen in corners of the screen. Cuts out frequently and lets out a loud beep everytime it does.... not great when you are trying to sleep yourself. Very disappointed.

We love this baby monitor for ergonomics of the product. It's compact and just so simple to use. The screen is small which makes the monitor quite compact but this fits out needs. The camera auto switch to the IR light when it's dark and the day light without the IR is clear. Mic and sound settings easily adjustable and works great. We saw the same product from annke for almost double the price because of the annke badge sso decided to go for Prikim works out for us at the end.

Great product, Video quality is stunning in the day, the night vision is still like most camera nowadays there is still to be improved in this technique, but nothing to do with this product. I have another high value Motorola monitor. Although it has better features, I still prefer this one, think of the money you spent. You will have to pay triple or four times of this price for other brand. Other than that, I don’t see any difference part from the temperature display on the Motorola. This one provides the same real time monitoring and sound response.

Very cheap and poor product. For same money better get Wi-FI camera and download the app. This item does not worth it`s money. Very poor and cheap receiver, screen. Also talk option does not work.
