Superbly comfortable, lightweight, trainer/walking shoes
I tested these JOINFREE Men Walking Shoes because I usually have difficulty finding comfortable shoes that are wide enough for my toes but still fit snugly around my heels. Trainer-type shoes are an especial challenge... usually I need to cram my toes into stylishly-narrow shoes to ensure the heels fit comfortably. My first impression of these shoes were how light ( 700g ) and how flexible and supple they were.... think summer-weight, casual Oxford-style footwear. With no UK size10.5 available I chose a larger size 11 but was rewarded with the best-fitting, most comfortable lightweight shoes I have ever worn ! The upper material of the shoes is constructed from a lightweight, breathable, woven fabric with an elasticated edging around the foot entrance. I found the inside heels are "just right"..... being quite low but cleverly-shaped inside with memory foam. The material stretches just enough for the foot to be gripped securely and the inner heels literally mould themselves to one's feet. So far, i have worn these every day for casual walking, driving, working on my boat and even for some gentle jogging. The soles are "zero drop" in design making them virtually flat, which prevents toes being crammed forwards inside the shoe as one steps forwards.... having suffered from painful feet after wearing some modern 'wedge sole' designs these are painless and easy to wear. Inside, the tongues are pleasantly long meaning they do not vanish down into the shoe during use and give good padding between the laces and the top of the feet. The soles are constructed from a light moulded rubber with a simple, anti-slip pattern. These certainly are not shoes for cross-country runs - but have coped with ease everything else I have thrown at them. If you have trouble finding casual shoes which are wide enough for comfortable, everyday wear then I can thoroughly recommend these. They have proved to be versatile enough for a wide range of activities and, above all, are blissfully comfortable to wear.

Like the old 70's style lace up pumps we had before trainers, which may be a good or bad thing!
These remind me of 70's style lace up pumps. Light, uppers made of fabric (and not waterproof but lets some air in), fairly thin soles, and very light. Great for a summer walk or to the shops, but not for running. They are also wider than normal at the front, which adds to the comfort. The big downside is price. About 30-40% too expensive as of this review for a no-name shoe, particularly as there doesn't seem to be any standout feature to justify it.Search on 'wide barefoot mens' to see current prices for this type of shoe.Overall, decent. Torn between 3 and 4 stars and settled at 4 because although they seem a little expensive, there's nothing actually wrong with them (and I haven't worn any of the cheaper options, which may be awful of the 'you get what you pay for' type!).

like expensive slippery socks with no support
meh theyre cheap nonsense theyre like a bit of rubber glued to a bit of cheap man made fabric there is no support its slipping around the heel slips up and down every step. The sole is very thing which I expected but it makes me wonder why they cost £40 they should be £20-£30. Even then for me they are useless for the above reasons. They also loook tacky, like bad old man deck shoes, not like cool sneakers. They do not keep their shape and have big indents from the fact theyre just fabric on rubber. IF they used cotton and had a better designed heel area and more shape they would suffice, if they were £10 cheaper too.Returning another pair of bad shoes its endlesss the earth will be burried in our used shoes that last 2 months.

Men's Shoes
I was intrigued by wide toe shoes ater seeing Paul Messner rave about them. So I ordered these mainly for walking. For a few days I did a little bit outside in them, getting used to them. Having wide toes was great but I noticed the sole is very thin and any stone underfoot could be felt. After a couple of days, I noticed that the white core of the laces was coming out part way down one of the laces. Then I went for a walk, just on tarmac, nothing rough. After about 5 minutes, I noticed my ankle was hurting, then a few minutes later the soles of my feet started hurting.Walking short distances, these are great, very roomy, but longer than that the thin soles cause issues for me.

Good looking, well made, wide toed shoes that are extremely comfortable
These barefoot training sneakers have an attractive look at first glance. They look well made and more than suitable for casual nights out. They have a breathable upper and are zero drop (the back is at the same level as the front). They are also wide toed. I have wide feet and need a wide fitting so cannot wear quite a lot of shoes but this has the space both for the toes and also for wider feet. They are elasticated and padded at the back of the shoe and the base is also padded. These shoes are extremely comfortable when on and the elasticated back is really nice on the heel both providing hold so the shoe doesn’t slip but without the rubbing on the heel you sometimes get with solid heels. These are really nice shoes to wear around the house, walking around town or causal days/nights out. They are smart enough not to draw attention but leave your feet feeling fresh after wearing them.At time of writing these were around £35 (including discount). I think this is a good price for good looking, well made, comfortable shoes that look like they will last.

Almost a moccasin.
I would say these are for training in so need to be light and breathable which these are. I wouldn't say they are general walking shoes as they are too flimsy and have a very thin tread. They fit well and are comfortable from the off and are quite nice to look at - I particuarly like the shade of brown - but do have a very wide toe which makes that part of the shoe a little odd to look at. I wouldn't wear them as a casual shoe for sure.I doubt these are waterproof either as they are do not appear to be manufactured from that type of material.I will say at the current price they are far too expensive for what they are which I would find prohibitive if I were to have to pay for them.
