Durable and strong
My old campervan has a slot-in awning, but the only time I have attempted to use it, the pegs that came with it bent over when we tried to hammer them into the ground, then required the help of a neighbour to remove them when it was time to pack up! This put me off ever using it again. So, when I saw these pegs, I decided to find out if they were any better than the old ones...Spoiler alert... they are a game changer! Not only do they easily hammer into the ground without bending, but the design of the tops make them simple to remove, either with the useful, enclosed peg puller, or with the hook end on my peg mallet.A special mention must go to the bright orange peg tops. There is a reason that many campsites insist on orange power leads, and the visibility of the colour makes it much less likely that you will have or cause a trip incident in low light conditions. The bright orange box also keeps everything together and makes it easy to locate in the van.If I were to lose these, I would buy the same set again, and I can't give higher praise than that.

Best style pegs!!
These heavy duty pegs are excellent. Definitely helped us and some hard ground. They are great for general normal camping ground, but come up trumps on harder ground. I have even used them on gravel hard stands for our awnings.Great, for tents, awnings tarps, etc.Just remember if they are hard to get in, they may be even harder to get our. They come with a peg puller, but I do recommend carry a claw hammer.Great value.- 20cm x 20 Pack Orange Hard Ground Tent Pegs, Camping Pegs and Awning Pegs for Outdoor - Galvanized Tent Pegs Metal Heavy Duty with Storage Case and Peg Remover

Green Thumbz - Heavy Duty Tent Pegs (20 Pack)
Just a week ago, i picked up a second hand, family sized tent for my sons upcoming Scout family camp. I have a couple of small back packing tents, but needed a larger one. The tent is almost new and seems pretty decent, but for some reason the pegs it came with are those thin wiry ones that bend with the slightest bit of pressure and they don’t stand a chance should you hit a small stone, so these heavy duty ones from Green Thumbz looked to be ideal. You get a pack of 20 x 20cm long by 5 or 6mm thick galvanised pins. Each one has a sharp point at one end for easier installation and unlike the old style pegs that have a hooked end, these have a nice flat top to make them easier to hammer into the ground and less likely to bend.Below the flat top, is a strong plastic hook, featuring a hooked side (for securing tie down points and a loop side that can be used in conjunction with the included peg puller tool (it could also be used to tie cords or hook things to the peg).***** In The Box *****20 x Heavy Duty Tent Pegs1 x Puller Tool1 x Storage Case***** Conclusion *****Although i haven’t used these pegs in the field, i am really pleased with the quality of the product. They are extremely sturdy and will take a lot of force to bend them and the 20cm length should provide a good fixing.I quite like the flat top design and i like the pointed tip – compared to the blunt tip of old style pegs, which can be surprisingly difficult to push into the ground, especially during the summer months. You do of course need to be extremely careful, as the sharp point will have no problem making a hole in your flysheet. The included peg puller is a nice bonus and i like that they come neatly stored inside a sturdy plastic storage case.I think the £11.99 asking price is pretty reasonable for 20 x decent quality pegs that should last for years.

They do their job well.
This is a good set of pegs. You get 20 pegs, a peg pulling tool and they all come in a plastic storage box. The pegs look like 7 1/2" nails with a nice sharp point at one end and a flat top at the other end. They appear to be 6mm diameter steel so good heavy duty ones. Their strength means they can be hammered into the ground when needs be without much fear of them bending. At the top of each peg there is a thick plastic type block, shaped on one side with a hook for attaching guy ropes under and on the other is a oval shaped hole for the pulling tool to be put through when you need to remove them. I must say at this point though the oval hole is a tiny bit small and you have to really push hard on the tool to get it through. I have used a drill bit a little larger than the diameter of the tool to open the holes up and it's very easy to use the pulling tool now. The pegs and pulling tool are kept in a reasonably sturdy plastic storage box as opposed to a canvas bag that all my previous pegs have come in. Both the storage case and the block at the top of the pegs are in a bright orange colour this gives you a great advantage in finding any pegs you have left on the floor. I have lost dozen's of wire pegs in the grass over the years. So in summary this is a set of pegs that can be hammered in to hard ground without causing any damage to them. Their bright colour means it's almost impossible to loose them and they have a nice storage box to keep them all together when there not in use. You get all this ( at time of this review ) for a very reasonable £11.99.

Really strong
I am so impressed with these, they are really strong and robust. I like that they come in their own carry case and with a remover tool. The orange heads make them easier to spot when in situ and you can hook solar lights around them so you can see where they are at night and avoid tripping on your guy ropes! The nail head makes it easy to hammer in where necessary and they cope well with hard ground. I think these are really good value for money and they work well with our awning.
