Stale and old
Very disappointing! Ordered these as I needed to make a cake and today as I started it I realised they are stale . Packet was unopened and the date of expiring is for November 25 however they are old and stale not what I was expecting. Really annoying 😤

Bought two bags and both were stale
It arrived stale although it the label said it was still in date. Not pleased

It's OK, a little dense but fine for adding to a dish.
Let me preface this by saying I probably spoiled myself by buying the best stuff first. I got a box of puffed spelt from M&S and fell in love with the light fluffy puffs of deliciousness to have with my fruit and yoghurt in the mornings. They had a lovely toasted flavour to them whilst still being just simple spelt and nothing else. This is no M&S puffed spelt. Who knew puffed spelt could differ so much? I bought this two pack thinking it was great value for money and I'd found a brilliant deal. Alas, no. This is much denser, and tasted of nothing, vaguely of cardboard if I'm being generous. It has no redeeming qualities, other than it is edible. I still pair it with my fruit and yoghurt for breakfast but with every spoonful I mourn the fact that it's not as good as the M&S version, and I have two bags to get through. I haven't tried it in a soup or salad but I think this would be ok, something where it can soak up some flavour and become softer. I'm definitely going to try this to get through it. Verdict: it's OK, especially if you've not had better, or are mixing it into a saucy dish. If you're buying it to eat as it is, don't bother.
