TechNiche International Women's Deluxe Sport Vest

This should be an edit on a previous review for the item I had purchased but since I cannot find that review, I will treat this as a new review. I did incur a problem with the shipment of this item, however, after contacting Amazon, the issue was resolved almost immediately. The seller was also very quick to respond and help in a resolution. I am very pleased with my item and the way the discrepency was handled. This item is a necessity for me as I suffer from MS and I work outside in the heat in the middle of the day. This vest helps to keep my core temperature down, which is essential for my health. These vests are hard to find. This is not the first vest I have purchased, I used a local woman who sold them out of her garage before. Same vest, made by TechNiche. However, the vest I had before was a delux and not a delux sport. Or a sport, not a Delux Sport. (I think I can put the vest on and then put a shirt on over this vest.) Something like that. I do believe that is why this vest is a little more snug. I do not mind that, I do prefer the length being longer on my other vest. Although the picture of this vest looks identical to the front of my last vest, the vest itself is different. This vest is bunched in the back and has black material on the sides and it is not as long.The small did fit snug, If you are a busty woman, I would consider ordering a medium or a size up to make sure it will zip over your chest area. Love the way it keeps me cool!

I would like to say that the ladies size small fit me as I desired. It is a tad tight across the chest, but a medium was just too large all over. I am 5'4", weight about 124 and wear 34B. I believe that in order for this vest to cool you, it has to have direct contact with as much skin as possible. A medium only touched me at the shoulders. The small really fits, so it touches everywhere. The chest snugness is never an issue with the size small. I wear a tank top under the vest, which is always damp from the vest. When I take it all off, all of my skin that was in contact with the vest, is cool to the touch.I have MS and use this vest when I exercise at the gym. Before using the vest, my workouts were very difficult. I could not see well, think clearly or move well enough to do anything but rest for 10 minutes after just a few minutes of mild exercise.Now I put the wet vest on over my tank top before leaving home. I drink a frozen fruit & vanilla soy milk smoothie while I sit in the AC with a fan pointed at me. Then I get in the car with the AC aimed at the vest. I am able to perform well enough with the vest to actually complete 20 minutes of elliptical/recumbent bike/treadmill at my 80th percentile, rest 10 minutes, then get on a different machine to get the other ten minutes.I have used it for going to the supermarket and to get some housework done. I don't think it would work as well for me out in the 90 degree heat. But with the AC blasting, I am very happy these days.It works well for my needs.

Fits great. We'll made. Didn't keep me cool in 90° sunny Florida weather with a MESH jacket over it. Wind blows thru mesh, but vest wasn't cooling. Next time I'll try dunking it in the water in my cooler (from ice melting).

Great vest for cooling down. I work in temps over 100 degrees and would never make it out there without it. Even when it is humid out - as long as you dunk it in ice water, it will still keep you cool. Love that it has a high neck, zippered pockets, and it fits well. The only problem I have with it ( and I have several of these vests) is that they are poorly made. They are "quilted" such that the water absorbing crystals are evenly distributed... but the seams of the quilts readily pull out. You know,.. how you pull a thread and the entire thing comes apart. Only there are loose threads everywhere just waiting to be pulled ( and pull they do). Also the fabric is really thin and wears holes in it very easily. These vests have been an absolutely invaluable tool for me to use as I work outside for a living. At the same time, I shouldn't have to buy one or two every year because they fall apart :(

I have major heat sensitivity, it will just wipe me out. So I got this vest and it makes it a little more bearable to be out in the summer. It definitely takes the temperature down a few degrees. It may not be the most fashion forward looking thing, but I'll tell you, when it's 90+ degrees you'll be glad to have it. I've worn it doing yard work and even to an all day outdoor concert on a cloudless June day (thought I was going to roast to death, but it totally saved me). The thing is, you soak it in water, thus it's going to be a bit wet, so will your shirt, plan accordingly there. Depending on how hot it is and how long you use it, you may have to run it under a sink for a few minutes to "recharge" or dump some bottled water on it, a minor action for the relief it brings.

GREAT for HOT DRY days! In HIGH HUMIDITY not so good. Wear neck scarf to avoid skin contact, I got skin irritation on neck where collar touched skin on long humid day! Nice the zipper goes up to top of collar. Need to sterilize it some how to prevent mold/fungus/bacteria growth. Pockets are great!! I wore it 3x & the silver threads near zipper frayed, but held up over use. Concerned over time the thick moist material in high humidity can harbor mold/fungus/bacteria, since reviews said it did not with stand hot machine wash very well. I hand washed it. So it was not sterilized! Hmmmm...any suggestions please ~ how to sterilize it?

Keeps me cool on hot days when I ride my horse.

I wavered between the size L and XL. I wear a size L in women's shirts and tees, but I chose the XL since I will wear it over a shirt. It is a little roomy, but I am tall and it is just right in the length. If I were to order again, I would stick with the XL. I wore it horseback riding in 95 degree heat in Arizona; I was quite comfortable. It was breezy which I think helped me to feel cooler, but the breeze caused the vest to dry faster. My ride lasted just over two hours and the vest was still slightly damp when I got home. I selected the silver as I thought the color would be reflective of the heat. I am very glad I got this and will definitely use it this hot Arizona summer.
