ALTRAWomen's Rivera 4 Road Running Shoe

Praise the shoe gods! Altra has finally decided to acknowledge the existence of people who like foot-shape zero-drop shoes who also happen to have truly narrow feet. These are the only Altras I have ever tried that don't feel like loose floppy clown shoes on my feet, forcing me to stack two insoles together and then wear my thickest hiking socks to take up all the extra space. So far I'm only using one insole (superfeet) and medium-thickness socks. Note if you're shopping: these aren't labeled anywhere on the box or the shoe as narrow; you just have to look for the "slim fit" category on the website.However, crappy lacing system. Who decided to put slits instead of round holes for the laces? Best of luck to you if you want to replace the laces (as I always do in every pair of lace up shoes I own).

These Altras are comfortable and what I expected out of the discounted price.I previously ran in Paradigms, but didn’t like the newest version. I opted for these since they were cheaper, and I wasn’t disappointed. I still think I prefer the Paradigms, but not the new model they’re making, so these are a good substitute.

Once I was introduced to Altra, I haven’t used another brand. In fact, I was shopping for a different brand that is considered by many people to be an awesome shoe, but when I tried the other brand on, they were not comfortable on my feet, so the store clerk led me in this direction because of my wide foot. Most other athletic shoes hurt my feet, but these are very comfortable to me. The wide toe box is awesome, and the support in the shoe gives me relief that I don’t get with other shoes. This particular pair is described as navy, yet the blue is lighter than that. Other reviews mentioned getting a 1/2 size larger in this style. I followed suit and did the same. Other Altra styles I own are my regular size, but I did go up a 1/2 size for these based on the other reviews. They fit really well. These are great shoes and definitely worth the money.

This does not fit like the Rivera 3. I even called the company to make sure it does, but it doesn't. The toe box of this shoe looks and fits smaller, even though the measurements look the same. My toe jams up against the front of the shoe and the box doesn't allow the same spread. Also, I really needed these sneakers and this has slowed down the process. I already went to a store that sells Altras--seemed like they fit in the store and then nope, not when you get home. So a lot of time has been wasted here. I'm off to ebay to buy a pair of the 3s.

I have always wear 8.5 in this shoe but Rivera 4 size 8.5 is super small. At least half a size too small. All my other Rivera's have been fine at 8.5 but this would put me way up to a 9 to fit properly. That seems like it would be way too big. For comparison, I wear size 8 in the long peak trail runner. Is this a production issue, perhaps? I had a bad batch? It's annoying for sure.

The shoe was very comfortable and almost springy. Great colors and fit. The width of the foam on the bottom felt odd to me, it was exactly the same width the fabric on the toe box. It felt like my feat were pushing the soft material of the shoe over the foam and I don’t have wide feet. Might be a personal thing haha other than that very comfortable.

I have 3 pairs of these I love them. The navy/pink is dark teal not navy.

My last pair of running shoes were the rivera 2. I've had them for 2+ years and I loved them but I like these more.

Normalerweise trage ich 40 , Amazon schlug mir schon 40.5 vor .Leider passt 40.5 nicht. Ich stoße fast mit dem dicken Zeh vorne an. Und vom Spann passt es auch nicht.Ansich ist der Schuh sehr schön. Und für breite (sehr breite) Füße toll. Ich hab von der Breite oft Probleme. Der Schuh ist leicht und macht Qualitativ einen guten Eindruck.Ich werde den Schuh nochmals größer bestellen und hoffen das es dann von der Länge und dem Spann passt.

Una decepción. Me las recomendaron porque tienen "forma de pie", pero tallan muu pequeño y además son muy estrechas. Tuve que pedir dos tallas más de la mía normal para que me sirvieran y, aun así, bastante apretadas de ancho en la parte intermedia del pie. En los dedos tampoco son tan anchas como parecen en las imágenes.Los materiales son de calidad, pero la forma y el tallaje fatal.

On first glance, the trainers look a bit bulky but they are actually extremely lightweight. They are easy to put on, and feels like I’m not wearing shoes! It’s like walking on a cloud. I have plantar fasciitis so have been looking for a pair of trainers which can help with the pain; these shoes have helped so much. By the end of the day, there is so much less pain in my heels. I also opted to go for half a size up from my normal shoe size and the sizing and the width are both perfect. They are okay to clean, nothing unusual. What I really like is how easy it is to walk around and I’m certain my posture has been a lot better since wearing them. I’ve gone for long walks in these shoes, and even by the end of the walk, I still feel comfortable and my feet feel good. I would highly recommend for anyone with any type of pains in foot, knees, hips and back.

... die Schuhe haben nach 5 Wochen tragen bereits ein Loch an der Ferse, was scheuert. Laut Amazon ist ein Umtausch nicht mehr möglich, was ich nicht in Ordnung finde, für einen Schuh, der 120 Euro kostet!

These Altra Women's Rivera 4 Sneakers are very lightweight and breathable. The pair I received are very neat in terms of stitching and overall construction though they do seem to be a snug fit for their stated size. My wife has been wearing them for her daily runs and finds them very comfortable with sufficient grip for a variety of terrain types and she likes the amount of cushioning provided by the soles. For wearers with wider feet it might be worth considering going a half size up as they don't have much leeway. They do according to my wife provide a good amount of arch support making them ideal for a variety of outdoor leisure activities. At this price point they seem a little on the expensive side compared with other shoes of a similar design but they do look and feel very well made and my wife is very happy with them.
