This worked AMAZING for a recent gnat problem I had. I recently became infested with gnats due to some potatoes I had forgotten about in my cupboard, and within a week I was over run by the darned things. I tried everything I could think of to get rid of them. Made sure any refuse was tightly bagged up before placing in the trash bin, and any trash was immediately taken out the MOMENT it started to smell funny, dishes were done the moment they were used, but nothing seemed to get rid of them. THEN I found the potatoes. and LORD, I never knew so many gnats could exist in one place at the same time. lol It was this moment I decided to get this bug zapper. When I tell you there were a lot of these little dive bombing demons, I couldn't breathe without having one of those buggers try flying up my nose. I bought this and YAY! I can breathe again! hahaha! I am now gnat free after only 2 days of running this amazing little contraption. There was no sweeter sound than the sound of those little winged demons snapping and popping like a bag of popcorn. Sure the sound DID get annoying after a while, but MAN was it worth it! If you have a fly issue, I HIGHLY suggest buying this! It's quicker and better than any standard fly trap you could possibly buy. It's well worth the extra money if you need to get rid of the problem quickly and efficiently.

I've used this bug zapper at my house and my mother's house. Worked great in both locations. We could hear the zapper "zapping" all night long, all sorts of bug were k**led not just mosquitos but I couldn't do anything to stop that. I'd recommend this zapper to family/friends if they should ask about mine.

It it works well. Zaps your bugs and helps controls the bug problem. Bulb life is about 3months est for continuous daily use.

This insect zapper is larger than I expected, and that is a good thing. It is quite easy to set up, just plug it into your wall outlet and you're all set to start zapping bugs. The unit comes with two lights, the main attractant purplish light, that is always on, until you pull out the power cord. And there is a light at the bottom of the unit, for if you need to hang it up in a tent and have the tent illuminated. There is a little red switch just under the roof of the unit, that turns this light on and off. It is satisfying to hear the loud snap sound when a bug gets zapped. So far, it is a value for the money, quality built, it kills the bugs, especially the tiny no see ums. Another note is the ease of cleaning, just unscrew the bottom cover, empty out and screw back on. I highly recommend. Oh, the cord is a decent length and the unit comes with a small brush to clean up.

It lasted a year working non-stop in our garage. Did a great job at killing everything. A bit loud when it zapps an insect. But who cares. We aren't in the garage all the time. The lantern feature at the borron was a nice touch. I might buy it again. Still deciding.
