Fast Lane DVD

You'd think that the combination of a 1966 Mustang, a girlie gang of car thieves, long legs, short skirts, high cheekbones and a shootout would be a sure-fire winner. But sadly... you'll have seen better short films on YouTube than this underfunded, derivative, pointless, badly-acted, poorly-scripted B-movie.Fast Lane aims to exploit the sensual interplay between hard men, hot cars and cool women which works so well in the Fast/Furious series with Vin Diesel and the gang. But 'Fast Lane' doesn't even get into gear. This isn't a Ferrari, my friends: it's a knackered Ford Escort with go-slower stripes...It's hard to know what's worst: the terrible soundtrack which could have been recorded on a mobile phone. The laughable driving sequences which appear to have been shot in a car park, and are about a tense as a sherry trifle. The simpering squad of 'professional' car thieves, flicking their hair and touching up their lippy (although a male audience of a certain age are forgiven for wanting to watch this film simply to admire their assets, but don't get too excited, boys; they may be pretty fit models but none of the clothing comes off...). The mama-boss gangleader with the clichéd heart of gold whose just committing grand theft auto every night to, er, keep her girls off the street. Agh. It's all awful, in fact.The only good thing about Fast Lane is that it had the decency to end in less than 80 minutes, presumably so short because they couldn't find funding for any of the action / crash sequences (hence the dismal voice-over and fill-in at the beginning).Not even worth a quid in a charity shop.2/10

a girl auto theft ring stole the wrong car from the wrong guy and trouble ensues. leaves you feeling kinda jilted at the end. if you're at the doctors office and its on, which I doubt, a good way to pass the time, other wise don't go outta your way to see it.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was hot...the script, the actors, especially the cars and the direction of the movie. I liked the fact that the screen writer actually trusted his audience with the complexity of a plot that's worthy of a mature audience. The film looks like its from a pre-existing genre and it is, but it differs in the most important way - it has a challenging plot. I loved it!! Lastly, I'm not sure which film the previous reviewer saw. It seems to me that the previous reviewer was bent on showcasing how credible and knowledgable he is about movies...I don't recall seeing any movies he's produced which disqualifies him from the expert point of view he would like everyone to believe he speaks from. So, put your glasses back on and try to keep your attention on the plot as opposed to waiting for a car to take off from the seaport and splash into the ocean - you're not thirteen anymore. Great movie - see it!!!!!!!
