Seems excellent.
Just took delivery of the Strop and Mink Oil. The strop was/is a huge addition to my education of straight razor shaving! It is heavy duty leather , smoothe finished and the linen stroo as well. Sturdy construction which will last ne a lifetime!!!

Great Strops Don't Have To Be Expensive
My only complaint is that it was rolled up for shipping, but a few days hanging flat were sufficient to get it nice and straight. The whole thing is sturdy and well-made. There are no discernable blemishes or creases in the leather and the mesh is thick and durable. I've used it every day to strop my straight razor and absolutely could not be happier with it. This was a great investment, and the one I'll be buying as presents for my friends who are taking up wet shaving.

A Little Rough
Not sure what I expected at the price - for my first strop. I heard they were packaged rolled and was pleased to find this the case upon receiving the package. However, the roll was tight enough to crinkle a spot on the smooth side of the leather. After freaking out about sanding and "boning" and basically recovering a defective new strop, I put aside the forum talk and remembered it's just leather. A simple bit of hot water and a good stretching took it right out. The suede side is very rough with significant piling which makes a smooth lap impossible. I did have to sand out the piling. As it appeared in the pictures, the metal hardware is pretty chinsey chromed die-cast material which has not been smoothed at the mold faces one bit. It looks cheap, but took the 30 lbs I hung from it to stretch the crinkles out. I guess it gets the job done, but takes some work to bring it up to order.

Works well for the intended purposes
The cost was low and it is easy to use. No directions but I have used in the past

Pretty good
I’m still kind of new to straight razors but so far I like this strop. My amateur opinion was that the leather was pretty stiff but I like the size and the way it’s constructed. I believe it will last a long time but will take some time to break it in.

I WOULD NOT CALL THIS PREMIUM
Shipping:Received the strop in a soft padded envelope. It was not excessively wound so there were no issues with wrinkles or bumps.Quality of item: This is NOT a quality strop. Porous of that is that the original price of$60 was brought down to$30. That price is a fair price for the value. The leather is HARD and the process to dye it is a our prices that leaves the leather with a hard, shiny coating. I did not date pour my blade to the strop but being that this is a3" strop I did not want to give up on it without trying.(see below for my process). The hardware looks sturdy enough and the length is nice.Because the leather was improperly processed(read cheap process. Must have been made in China) and the leather is not exactly soft, the strop had ondulations when hanging.Being that I want to get away from having to do the x pattern when honing and because I really need a strop I did this:Upon receipt I applied a generous amount of LEATHER BALM. The dye kept the balm from penetrating so the next day I SANDED THE LEATHER WITH 240 GRIT SANDPAPER. Then I cleaned the leather with 97%alcohol(Lots of dye came off) and them I rubbed SADDLE SOAP on the leather TWICE. Tomorrow I will re apply balm. The treatment left a softer surface where I feel more comfortable running my razor. The sheen of the gook they used is gone too. The leather is still very tough.CONCLUSION: CAVEAT EMPTOR. This is NOT a quality PREMIUM strop(as the name of the item implies) but it is a strop that can be made usable with some time and work. It is after all, ONLY $30.

I used it already and IT works 99% great! Nothing is PERFECT
Okay. It came ROLLED UP the wrong way with the smooth side - instead of counter intuitive the ROUGH side out. That caused a 2 day straightening process - sadly. Oh Well! Not knowing is foolishness for the shipper and staff. That said after a 2 day MINK oil treatment and human hand rubbing - mine- the darn thing is straightening out - with three clamp wrenches assisting in the weight. Hang them all OUT straight down ON a cabinet in a straight line. I used it already and IT works 99% great! Nothing is PERFECT! It shined up a M390 Kershaw twin Link & Dividend steel PAIR fine plus a CPMS110V Manix 2. All is well that ends okay. I will use the linen soon. I set up a HOOK on the work bench and a HANGING hook in the home closet. Carry on folks - it is worth the $32 ish...

arrived coiled, a bit stiff - as expected, crappy handles
arrived coiled so the canvas had a bump in it, the leather was ok,. decent hardware - except the handles which are thin leather and not really comfortable to hold. i guess i would call it a very good beginners strop? better than a 20 buck one
