I’ve been making sourdough artisan bread for years and this knife was a game changer! I love the fact that you can measure a half slice or an inch slice of bread. Super super sharp so be careful when using. It also has a protective guard shield for the blade for safety purposes. It’s very well-made and I believe it will last for several years. I highly recommend this knife, especially for artisan breads.

My daughter and I have gluten allergies and just haven’t been able to find a gluten free bread that we like. With that being said my wife makes all of our bread, which is absolutely delicious. Prior to getting this bread knife I always used the serrated knives we had in the house. The problem was, no matter how hard I tried, I wasn’t able to get consistent slices of bread. Some slices were too thick, while others were too thin. Some would be thicker at the top and other looked like I purposely cut them diagonally. This prompted my search to find something that could assist me in producing consistent slices of bread. The most popular option I found was a bread slicing box. While these would definitely do the trick, they can take up more storage room than I had and I also wasn’t sure that our loafs would easily fit in them.Then my wife came across this bread slicing knife and we decided to give it a try. It is well made, the serrated blade is extremely sharp, it is comfortable to hold and easily glides through the bread. It doesn’t compress or tear the bread and leaves you with nice clean cuts. Now, this knife does have thickness guides, however these are only reference marks (1/2” and 1”) on the wooden frame of knife. The cutting blade is permanently affixed to the frame and can’t be adjusted to the desired thickness. Even though this is the case, I will say that I have been able to produce more consistent slices. I think this is due to the overall design of the knife. The wooden frame acts as a second point of reference, allowing for a more accurate cut.All and all, this is a very nice bread knife that should help you get more consistent slices, but if you are looking for absolutely identical slices, this isn’t going to give you those results.

I just started getting into making my own sourdough bread in the last couple months. I am picking up some cooler pieces to have at my disposal. This cutter is pretty neat. It looks cool and it works very good on even the thickest and fluffiest bread. It has sawblade-like edge and cuts smooth and evenly. My kids just think it has a cool factor, so that is good enough for me. So far we've used it over a dozen times and it works perfectly. Good materials and easy to store with it's blade covers to clip on when not in use. If they come with other colors or textures, I will pick another one up.

I make A LOT of bread and slicing it is my least favorite part. It's usually a hatchet job. This knife made it very easy. It's quite sharp and the bow keeps it steady so that the slices are even. It has a loop made of rustic rope so that you can hand it from a hook. I use it practically every day!
