Awesome!! *Update
**Update** Per another reviewer, I purchased a 16x20 frame to frame my finished cow. No matter how I position the canvas, the white unfinished portion of the canvas shows on at least two edges. 16x20 is just a tad too big. I haven't quite figured out what to do to remedy this; the frame I purchased has a mat but it mats down to 11x14, covering up much of the picture. If you're looking to frame this yourself, be forewarned. This is a really good kit. The quality of the canvas is much better than I expected. I used foam board and alligator clips to put it on a surface I could prop up and paint on. I thought the brushes were junk at first but the very small one I ended up using quite a bit. This is a very detailed picture so be aware that you will want 3 or 4 detail brushes so you don't have to constantly wash them. The only thing I noticed different from other reviews is that I spent at least 3x what others did to make sure the colors were saturated. Some colors took upwards of 3 coats. I did have to contact the seller to ask for more of the #1 color. They sent me an entire new kit! Canvas, brushes, and all. I ended up using quite a bit of the second pot of #1. If you're like me and don't want the colors to be splotchy, be aware you're going to be recoating quite a bit, but the cost of this kit far outweighs the few negative things about it.

Not for the impatient but sooo worth it!
Revised review! I have completed this beautiful cow picture (Bessie) and it was labor intensive but a labor of love! My husband made me a frame for it and it is hanging in my office today. Some of the colors didn't cover the numbers beneath it well the first time so I let it dry and touched it up over the course of several days. Now she looks so wonderful I can't stop admiring her beauty. I am addicted. I have bought 4 more and have been asked to do one for my co-worker. I spent about 25 hours total on this painting and I loved every second of it!I received this in the mail yesterday (fast- less than a week during a pandemic) and I started it last night. I had to make myself go to bed because I wanted to just spend all night painting. I am not a good freehand painter but I love to color and paint inside of lines. The lines are tiny so you have no choice but to go slow but I am loving the process so far.

Great way to spend some time on detailed work
I'm mostly happy with this purchase. It came exactly as described. The paints are plentiful and vibrant. It is extremely detailed; i wore a headlamp to be better able to see the little bitty numbers amd painting areas. The paint has to be put on very thickly, otherwise the lines and numbers will show through. My recommendation is to work through painting one number at a time (all thr 1s, all the 2s, etc). This will make it easier with the lighter colors to make sure everything is covered. Whem fimished, it looks pretty good from a distance as you can see from the photo. However up close it looks like a hot mess. I wouldn't plan on hanging this in your home when you're finished, but you do you.

Excellent value - very fun
This was an excellent product and I really enjoyed it. I am not an artist and I do not paint regularly. So for an amateur, I thought the canvas was good quality and the paints were also. I ironed the canvas on the lowest setting and it flattened out without issue. There was plenty of paint and I didn’t run out - in fact I have leftover In pretty much every color. The lighter pigments are a little “see through” and I just waited for those to dry and went back and did an extra layer on the number so it didn’t show through. Took me about 18 hours to paint. The only “complaint” would be that the brushes that come with the kit are not the best. I ended up using a brush I already had. But for $20 for a a kit that includes everything, I don’t think yo my can complain. The brush I used came in a pack my husband bought for $30. Quality paintbrushes are expensive. The painting can be done with the paintbrushes provided, it was just easier with a better brush. Overall this was excellent value and would buy again.

Hours of fun!!
This was hours of fun approximately 20-25 hours to complete, we would drink wine, and listen to music, and chat while we painted so you could possibly do it faster. Me and a friend would do it for 3-4 hours at a time then our necks and back would start to hurt haha so we would come back it it in a few days. The frame in the photo I purchased separately and did not come with. It comes with enough paint to complete the entire photo even though it doesn’t seem like that when you first get the paint pots. Only one paint pot was completely used. In between painting I recommend that you leave the canvas out of direct sunlight because the numbers will fade. This one has brown lines and numbers which I prefer over a different one that I got of a deer that had black lines it was much more difficult to cover the black writing so you would spend a lot of time going over the same number twice aside from the fading I prefer the brown that this one has. I would say I recommend this to anyone age 8+

Cute
I have this a 5 overall bc my teenager loved it. I’m unimpressed by the packaging (it just came folded in on itself in a plastic bag which doesn’t do much for presentation or gift giving). I carefully unfolded the canvas and ironed it on high linen on the backside several times for probably close to 10 minutes. Then I rolled it with the print inside and kept it like that for 2 days. That helped to make the creasing disappear. I just wish it came rolled and in a tube to begin with. Also, the directions are one step. Get cup of water and paint is pretty much all it said but I’m not sure much more could have been said. Anyway, my kiddo loves it, it’s turning out really cute, and that’s all that matters. Yep, I’d buy again.

Fun painting but you need patience and don’t expect perfection
I would say ages 14 and up. The photo on Amazon does not match the paints/canvas as printed. I was very careful to use the paint numbers as printed, and my result is different than the Amazon photo shows. Look at the cow’s mouth versus the Amazon photo. The tones of paint are different in my kit versus the photo. We had fun in this project, and I paid to get it framed. But mostly it was a fun family covid project in our free time. It took us months to complete. Very annoying that this comes folded. They could roll the canvas. The creases never came out. Even after framing professionally, you can see some creases.
