Solid little router
I got this mainly for switching off a physical line for a net appliance the handles VPN security for a work setup. The device only properly handles one line out, but can handle a mini subnet of things. (In my case, a couple of computers, a SIP phone, and a few IoT devices that all prefer to live on the company network, as they're configured for work.) This handles that expansion perfectly and allows good throughput between the local devices as needed and allowing them to all be on the company LAN and seen work systems they need to for proper setup and guidance. The throughput machine to machine is solidly gigabit, so it's handling the IO speed as well as switching, as the VPN box doesn't light up when cross chatter is happening. Proper isolation of traffic, at speed, is the only thing one can ask from a device of this size. The low price is an unexpected bonus.

Sweet Little Unit - Just Don't Buy It for the Blinkenlights
There are very few inexpensive gigabit switches with indicator LEDs, other than on the sockets. I've only found two. So I tried this one first. This switch is amazingly tiny, lightweight, low power, works great and is a good value. But I wanted blinkenlights. From the photos, I thought the LEDs would be visible from a wide angle. Actually they can be seen from the top but not the front. The angle is narrow and they can't be seen at all from more than a few feet away. I had to have blinkenlights, so I couldn't keep it. But it's so cute - I couldn't send it back. Fortunately a friend was looking for a switch, so he got this one. And I bought the TrendNet, which is not quite as lovable - but it has blinkenlights!

Networking made simple
Very compact switch, no larger than a deck of cards. If you want simple plug and play, without setup, this unit has you covered. It is passively cooled, so no worries about any fan noise. The bottom of the unit does have mounting points, they are a bit small, if you wish you wall mount it. I've performed a few speed tests using popular SpeedTest website which I regrettably did not save the results. I did notice a slight internet bandwidth speed decrease based on the results while connected to this switch. One test was with the computer directly connected to my Orbi router. Also tested while connected with an older Netgear switch. The Netgear switch is several years old but did have higher speed results in all tests than this unit. I regrettably did not attempt to do any local area file transfers while I was doing my testing. This means I can't say if file transfer speeds are effected. I'm unable to test this because it's already in place within my network. It's also connected to devices that only stream media and never file transfer.

Plug and play
This was a nice plug and play add in. I connected laptops, a printer, and a TV to it, and everything worked seamlessly. It delivers my full 500 Mbps up/down speeds with a 4ms ping on all devices—no lag or drop in performance. It’s small and compact, taking up almost no space. So far, zero issues. Simple, efficient, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Awesome Ethernet Splitter! Just what I needed
Received it and I read the instructions and everything, it's literally plug and play but sometimes you don't know what you're coming across so it's good to double check. A guy in the review section said he watched a video on some guy going in depth with this specific Splitter, yada yada yada, now what caught my attention was that he mentioned he'd been playing around connecting the main ethernet cord coming from the router into different ports on the TENDA splitter to try and get better results. The guy in the reviews mentioned that the best place to connect the main ethernet to was to the 1st connection, in the manual it mentions specifically that it should go into the 5th one. I just want to let people know that the manual is right, and I did speed tests 3 for each with main cable swapped into 1st and 5th place for a total of 6 tests. Your best bet is to put the main ethernet coming from your router into the 5th one like the manual mentions(pictures check out). The first one is the main ethernet cable from the router going into fifth. The second one is the main ethernet cable from the router going into the first connection in the TENDA. Do the math.

Works as advertised
Just had fiber optic installed and while here had the tech check the splitter - he reported almost no drop in throughput due to having the splitter on line. Have had this almost two years, has worked flawlessly and efficiently. Wish everything I bought worked as well.

Cheap but fast.
Plastic case but quite form not flimsy. Working great, getting 950Mbps on ports so is you do not need something very sturdy this will do in most cases. It can be hang on wall as well so that is additional plus.

Easy, small, looks good and you could hang it on a wall
Crikey this is small... not much wider than the five network cables you can put into it. Looks good and has slots to wall mount it. Comes with a power adaptor with enough cable. Just stick the network cables in and plug it into the mains and you're up and running. Very impressed. I can't hear any noise or hum at all. That is it. A great little box of tricks.

Value for money and as per discription.
It is excellent, works really well, and achieves the speed of 1000mbps on all ports simultaneously. Perfect for the price.
