Handsome, practical, old-fashioned wooden utensils at a great price. Company seems to stand behind what it sells
I searched for weeks for a simple, inexpensive, single-piece 12"-13" wooden spatula to replace the indispensable one I'd had for years (and would still have, if I hadn't left it lying next to a gas burner while cooking and singed it beyond repair). These used to be common and cost about $4.95, but visits to Sonoma Williams, Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier One, Crate and Barrel, Ikea, Bloomingdales, and other housewares turned up only complicated, over-long, expensive spatulas (breakable joints, laquered or heavily oiled, $15-$30, and long enough to stir a witch's cauldron :). So even though it went against the grain to pay $10 for a bunch of stuff I would probably throw away, I finally decided on this six-piece set in order to get the spatula. I saw the reviews saying that some people received sets with rough edges or splinters, but I also saw several replies posted by the seller, Premium Lifestyle Products, offering to stand behind their products and replace those with un-splintery sets without requesting the return of the original. That impressed me more than knowing I could get a free replacement, so I figured I'd chance the aggravation of getting a bad set and could give away what I didn't need.I'm glad I did: not only is the replacement spatula almost identical to my old one but I've found uses for 4 of the other utensils as well: the 2 salad tossers (3rd and 6th from left) are gentler on Boston lettuce than the metal ones I was using, the spoon (?) with the small slots is great for ladeling canned beans or vegetables out of containers, and the spatula with the hole in the center is excellent for mixing dough by hand. Only one I couldn't figure out a use for was the spatula with the two large slots (1st on left), but I'll hang onto it because the lightly oiled wood--company says treating it yourself is unnecessary--is handsome and pleasant to handle. The utensils are also a good thickness--not thick enough to be heavy and clumsy, like one $30 spatula I saw, but thick enough to stand up to reasonably hard stirring. The handles are 12"-13", which makes all of them short enough to stand up in a utensil holder, fit in a small drawer, or hang conveniently on the wall. I consider this a great value. One caveat: I did find a very small 1/4" splinter hanging from the inside of one of the slots on the slotted spatula. It was about the diameter of a human hair, but obviously this isn't something you want in your soup. I found no other splinters or rough spots likely to cause trouble, but if you order this item, it would be a good idea to inspect the edges and slots before washing them (which you would also want to do, obviously, before the first use).

Highly Recommend these Quality Cooking Tools
Quality for the price. I love these spoons and spatulas. Upon receiving them, I discovered that one spatula was splitting a little on one corner. Since the product was inspected before being shipped, I think this probably happened during shipping even though the packaging materials seem sturdy and protective. I emailed the seller a photo of the splitting and within two business days Amazon had shipped and delivered to me another full set, even though I emailed the seller on a national holiday. They did not require me to return the original set. These tools are sturdy and hold up well to regular, daily use. I have cooked with them for about two weeks and they do not seem to hold any stains from grease or food and are easy to clean. I love that the protective oil they are conditioned with prior to shipping is food-grade, and I have found that a weekly application of olive oil restores that conditioning. I use these on my pots and pans with a nonstick surface, and they do not scratch or damage the nonstick surface, even when I'm vigorously scraping or stirring. I'm extremely satisfied with the product for the price, and the excellent customer service I received from the seller. I believe these will last me a good while.

The five that didn't ship cracked work well (EDITED)
I didn't feel like hassling with the refund (there are no returns for these), so I just bit the cost of the cracked spoon. As others have stated, I got these on sale with prime shipping, so the effort wasn't worth it. The rest work just fine. For under ten bucks and free shipping, they do just fine.EDIT: My understanding was that I would have to return the entire set, rather than just replace the one item that was cracked. At the time it was more important to start using the ones that were good rather than return the whole set to get a single spoon fixed. Now I know, and I've added a star for service and response.

Quality Product and Service
Well, I've been wanting to try wooden utensils for quite some time. I am so very glad I bought this particular set!Upon receipt of my order, the manufacturer sent me an email to explain product care and provide customer service contacts, should I have any questions or needs. Immediately, I knew I'd fallen in with a responsible company. When I got my order, I was pleased to see that the utensils were properly finished - no splinters, etc. - and had been prepared with vegetable oil. So, I didn't need to season the pieces, they were ready to go.I really like cooking with these bamboo utensils! Finally, I have something safe (non-plastic) to use with my coated cook wear! These clean up nice and easy, too. Will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Expected the worse, got these instead!
I've had wooden spoons before and did not like them at all. After getting a new set of pots and pans for Christmas, I couldn't stand the thought of using anything that might scratch them, so I decided to give these Bamboo Utensils a try without any real belief they would work or that I'd like them. It's not often I like being wrong, but I absolutely LOVE these!! I waited a while on my review to be able to use these more than a couple of times and wow, I am so impressed. No splintering, no staining and no burning. They came already seasoned and all I've had to do is wash them off. I do not wash in the dishwasher and really, there's no need. Just a quick hand wash, rinse and hang (or dry flat).

Great set of thick, sturdy wooden utensils.
I really like this wooden utensil set. The utensils themselves are thick, sturdy and way better than the 3 pack of wooden spoons I picked up at the store for about $5 bucks. Those store bought ones are really thin, pale, and have tons of splinters they almost look fuzzy. This set looks good meaning they don't have splinters (there were a few left over from manufacturing when I first opened them but after the first wash they were gone), they have a nice light wood color to them, no fading, they don't stain (not even tomato sauce), are easy to wash, and use. I find myself reaching for them on a daily basis and I'm sure I'll be using these for a long time. For $10 bucks you really can't go wrong here.
