This is a game changer! It collects basically all the dust when doing nails and I don't have to wear a mask anymore. It's also easy to clean the filter.

UPDATE: I contacted Melodie Susie via their website and provided my Amazon order info. They promptly sent me a new item. VERY impressed with the customer service!I used this approximately 10 times, and it worked very well. Unfortunately, at exactly 6 months after delivery, it turns on but the fan doesn’t work. I had to sit outside to file off my nail color. 😭I’m not impressed with the longevity. It was an expensive item, and I hope they’ll reply to my warranty claim.

I could never go back to doing my nails without a dust collector! This one works amazing! One star deduction because I wish it was capable of being cordless like my nail drill.

That’s when I decided to try out the Melodysusie Nail Dust Collector, and I have to say I'm seriously impressed.First off, the design is sleek and doesn’t take up a ton of space on my desk. I am a newbie to DIY dip powder nails. Needless to say, things have gotten a little messy. Not to mention, I also suffer from dip flu. To help alleviate this issue, I bought the Melody Susie Dust Collector. And I am happy I did. It captures much (though not all) of the nail dust as I file my nails. As such, I am not breathing as much of it in. Moreover, my desk is somewhat cleaner with the dust collector.It has two power settings - Lo and Hi. I usually use it on the highest setting. The control buttons are soft touch and located in an area that is easily accessible. I find myself accidentally turning off poor changing the speed setting. Therefore, I position the control panel away from me to stop that from happening.The dust collector sounds like what you would expect. It is not overly loud. but not whisper quiet either.The power is more than adequate for the job. At first, I didn't think so. But, I tried the paper towel test. Lay a paper towel over the dust and the paper towel should instantly stick to the nail dust collector, as the suction of the fan pulls at anything near it.Cleaning the filter is easy. I shake it out over the garbage can and/or use a blow dryer on low/no heat to remove as much dust as possible before putting it back ino the machine. Melody Susie instructions suggest to change the filter every 2-3 months. But, as I am a DIYer who only uses it 2-3 times per month, I will only change every 6-8 months.Overall, I am enjoying this dust collector.

I bought because I am a loyal Melody Susie e-file user. I'm a professional Nail Tech. I decided to buy this as I have been looking for something to keep the Dust off of me and my clients. It was a little louder than I was expecting but the first couple times I used it it worked out okay. I did this continue use because my salon I was working in previously was a little bit loud and I just found it hard to have conversations with my clients. I since have moved to a different atmosphere where I am able to have conversations it's much quieter so I pulled out my dust collector to use again. Mind you I had only used it at most four times previously and packed it carefully making sure that it was not jostled around in the move. I went to plug it in and use it on my acrylic client and it is no longer working. So I only used it four times and it has completely stopped working. Unfortunately I am outside of the window to return so I am stuck with a hunk of plastic that does not work. Very disappointing I definitely do not suggest this for professionals maybe for diyers.
