While the cats enjoyed easy access to non-water bowl water, I finally decided to invest 20 minutes and less than $20 in replacing it. Yep, that’s all it took to avoid hundreds of dollars in water damage from occasional pump overspray and the disappointment in my father’s eyes—5 minutes to find this product on Amazon, 5 minutes to find the socket set and remove the old, corroded lever, 5 minutes to install, and 5 minutes to write this review. If you are not handy, Korky has videos available to help with installation, but I found it intuitive to use—one flush to set the angle of the arm and one flush to set the direction. My husband said it looked like cheap plastic that would break, but I thought it looked fairly substantial. Also, his comment struck me as ungrateful; so even if it does break, he’d best not say anything, or he’ll be looking for a new wife and a new master toilet. I’ll update this review on the durability of both the product and my marriage.

The packaging says it fits all brands of tanks including American Standard; however, I big to differ. It DOES NOT fit an American Standard Champion toilet tank. The handle itself is sturdy except but it has one MAJOR FLAW. The square gasket that goes through the square hole on the toilet tank is so small and flimsy that the handle spins in the tank hole making the handle completely useless. You only get one flush before it spins into a position that makes it useless. This was a total waste of money especially since I can't return it. Buyer beware.

It's been very difficult to find strong enough flushing handles that are strong enough for 3.5" flaps. This one has a metal handle, but still comes with plastic arm. But the arm is strong enough. For the most part, it is fairly easy to install and adjust. That is, until you want to attach the chain from the flap to the arm...I just cannot grasp the idea of someone, in the design team of this product, making such a moronic decision to use a clip so difficult to press open and put through the arm's hole. Really! In an otherwise easy to install product, someone picks the most ridiculous clip to attach the chain. It was so frustrating that I throw away the darn clip that came with it and used the one from the old flushing handle. That one clip made the whole thing so user-unfriendly and much more frustrating to install.

The better mousetrap of toilet tank levers ... you'd never think that something as mundane as a toilet lever could be improved. First, the handle is spring loaded so as to return the handle back to the neutral position -- one less reason for toilet tank leaks after a flush. Why didn't anyone else think of that? The assembly is designed with two clips to lock the lever into its final shape -- no trial and error bending and shaping of the lever. Superb fit and finish.+ simple, elegant design+ 5 year warranty+ Made in the USA

I ordered this lever after the universal one from a big box store didn't work in my toilet. I have a glacier bay toilet with a lid that sits flush on the tank, so the previous universal lever raised above the surface of the tank when depressed. It shouldn't matter what kind of toilet you have, this lever claims to fit most toilets and all lever positions. Plus they have multiple styles and colors as well. The lever is plastic inside so it won't corrode and rust away like my previous one, which completely rusted through and broke off after 10 years of use. The metal handle doesn't sit completely flush on the outside of the toilet, but that doesn't affect the function at all; still works great. Plus I love the more antique style option and it was really easy to install (the design makes the install hard to screw up. Yay good design!).

This is an amazing handle. After fighting with a brand new Delta handle for a couple hours before guests arrived because it kept sticking, I ordered this one and was amazed at how well it worked.- Spring assisted return (this should be a standard feature on all toilet handles!)- The arm can be adjusted in two ways for curved tanks and it is held in place using clips instead of threaded screws like the Moen that is similar. The clip will not allow things to twist (unthread) out of adjustment like the Moen)- It's very sturdy- Nice metal finish on the handle- Very smooth motion and the stops are solid. This thing will not jamb and stay open like the Delta. Especially with the spring assisted return.- Lots of choices for where the chain can attach to the armYou can't go wrong with this lever.

i had a problem with the flush valve on my American standard champion 4. Unless I held the flush handle down I got an incomplete flush. Not even liquid waste was removed. Call American standard and was told it definitely was a defective flush valve assembly. $50.00. Should also get the tank gasket and new bolt kit. $16.00. Well if it would fix the problem, ok. Still didn’t make a lot sense and I ordered it.Prior to installing the new flush valve, I decided to try the korky strongarm. Installation took all of ten minutes. Toilet it working perfectly. It wasn’t the flush valve assembly, it was their cheap plastic flush handle that had lost just enough of its original shape that it wouldn’t pull the flapper up high enough.Now I want to see if American standard will accept my return of unneeded and overpriced parts.Besides working so well, it is beautiful looking.

Changed the flush system on my toilet. The new system needed a spring loaded handle and this did the job. Not cheep but functional and should last. Happy enough with my first installation that I will repeat on a second. Hence purchase number two

Arrived on time and in good order. As usual, getting the old abused stuff out was more difficult than getting the Korky in. Pay attention to the nut thread direction, and all will be well. In our configuration it was necessary to bond some 1/8-in cork pads to the top of the tank body, to raise the tank lid a bit so there was clearance between the rotary part of the handle and that lid. Similarly a pair of bumper pads were bonded to the front of the tank to keep the raised seat lid from contacting the handle. All is good.

I enclosed a photo to show that it can indeed even fit a side mount curved tank as well as other styles. The interior parts are made of a heavy grade plastic. It was easy for me to install and you can see from the design that it is highly adaptable for even a side mount tank. It was easy to install and the directions were good. I like the added benefit of being able to use the handle in both directions. The bronze color matches my sink taps, and I also enclosed a photo of the taps (also on Amazon under Kingston Brass)

I needed lever in different color than supplied with toilet. It is second universal lever I bought. This one is much better than one I bough 6 months ago. It is cleverly made to fit front or side mount. It does not bend inside the tank like universal levers made with soft metal blade. Finally something what works and fits.

I am so pleased with this handle. It really updates our old toilet and fits with the other oil rubbed bronze items we have recently added to our renovated bathroom. It has a heavy weight to it. My husband installed it and said it was very easy and components are easily adjusted so you can get just the right flush!
