Gripmaster Hand Exerciser, Light Tension
I play guitar as a hobby, not so much a passion, ever since a thumb injury left my thumb weak and caused me pain whenever I'd play. I had seen Gripmasters (or at least a knock-off brand) in my local guitar shop, but I always thought it was a kind of placebo - a "squeeze this, play 10x better!" too-good-to-be-true deal. But now, trying to think of some way to improve the strength of my thumb (and, to see if it would indeed improve my playing), I took a more serious look at the Gripmaster and bought one. Now that I've had it for a few days, I can already see that it's not just a placebo. While doing the exercises provided on the company's website (printed on the device), I can feel the individual muscles in my fingers and wrist working and flexing, and I think it's fair to say that if I stick with it, I'll be seeing results soon. It's a very convenient device as it obviously fits in your hand, so you can use it in class, while watching TV, on the job. But beware - the portability can make it very easy to want to drag it along and squeeze on it all day, overdoing it and possibly injuring yourself. This is no real fault of the product, though, but rather a warning from someone who quite definitely overdid it in eagerness the first day. It's hard to believe you can overdo something like this at a light tension, but the word "light" is a bit deceiving. I consider myself average in most respects, including my hands, and I was surprised at how much resistance this thing gives. Unless you already train your hands some other way, I would recommend starting with the light tension just to err on the side of safety. Five pounds may seem like nothing, but it can be a lot when it comes to the fingers. In closing, while I've only had the device a short period of time, I can tell by the way my hand responds to it that there is a lot of potential to improve my hands with it. It's small size makes it portable, but be careful not to wail on it all day long. Finally, unless you've already been training your hands, start off at light and go from there. All in all, the Gripmaster seems to be a handy (ha, a pun) little tool to improve the muscles in your hand, whether it be for strength training or for creating a better hand to play an instrument with.

Strong Grips now
This is a great finger strengthening device. I use it when I was learning to play guitar. Its a little tough in the beginning but works out well.

Get a grip!
Well this has to be about one of the best devices out there to strengthen your individual fingers. While other grip strengthening devices, like the "Captains of Crush" squeezers, will most surely improve one's overall grip, there's always a chance that the stronger fingers are doing most of the work, leaving the weaker ones getting a less than perfect workout. Not so with the Gripmaster. I've been lifting weights for over 20 years and after trying this, I found several of my fingers weak, that is being unable to participate a lot when I tried to squeeze my Gripmaster. I got the red one, which is medium tension, and while overall its not TOO hard to do, there are a few fingers that just can't keep up! I think what I'll do is just use this one until all my fingers can do the exercise equally, and then move up to the next higher tension model. Looking for a good way to strengthen the individual fingers? Try it- you'll be surprised how much of a workout some of your fingers will get. Guitar players, people who type a lot, or anyone trying to rehab a hand will greatly benefit. Also suggest Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow for elbow tendonitis.

Good Quality, little light
I originally bought the Blue (5 lb), Red (7 lb) and the Black (9 lb) Gripmasters for my 14 year old boys. The Blue is a little too easy for gripping but excellent for exercising the ring and little finger. The Blue was too easy for them so they did not use it so I ended inherited it. It is pretty habit forming and fun to use because the tension is light, this makes it good for use anytime, anywhere. (I have used it stuck in traffic and it is also a good stress reliever) If I had to do it again, I would have probably not bought this tension unless you have a very light grip, probably have started with the Red. Just remember that this is mainly for fingers and hand exercise so very easy to use for gripping, the challenge is working out the fingers. It is not like using the regular heavy hand grippers. It has increased my hand strength and grip just by having it with me and using it during the course of the day without planned workouts. Great product, excellent for finger or hand exercise, good quality.

Strength and Dexterity in a Pocket-Sized Tool
Strength and Dexterity in a Pocket-Sized Tool The Gripmaster hand exerciser has been a solid addition to my daily routine. I picked up the 5 lb (light tension) model, which feels just right for working on finger strength without straining. What I really like is how it isolates each finger—pressing down on the individual pistons makes you realize quickly which fingers are weaker, and it’s satisfying to feel them gradually getting stronger with use. The spring-loaded design is smooth, and the build quality feels sturdy despite being lightweight and portable. It’s versatile too—I’ve used it for warming up before playing guitar, for grip conditioning before workouts, and even just as a desk-side fidget that doubles as hand therapy. After a week, I already notice improved control and endurance in my weaker fingers. I can see why athletes, musicians, and even people recovering from hand issues use these. If there’s anything to keep in mind, it’s that tension levels vary quite a bit. The 5 lb version is great for light strengthening, but serious grip trainers or those aiming for heavy forearm work will probably want to move up to 7 or 9 lbs. Also, longer sessions can cause some hand fatigue, so pacing yourself is key. Bottom line: A well-made, effective tool for anyone looking to build finger strength, dexterity, or endurance—whether for music, sports, or general hand health.

2017/1/11から2019/2/1まで駅から会社までの通勤中歩きながら使用して スプリングの一つが破損しました。 耐用年数が長いのか短いのかはわかりませんが 気に入ったので今度はミディアムを購入する予定です。

As I am recovering from a A4 pulley injury on my ring finger I decided to try out the grip master products, I bought a light tension and a medium tension. I find the light tension adequate for my need of rehabilitating my pulley, as it allows my finger to feel like it is being mildly pushed without the need to be around a hang board or a crimping block, for this item can easily fit into my pocket. The medium tension is still a bit too early to use mostly because it requires more force which I cannot apply, to this finger yet. Overall a great product

Have been using for about a week now. It's a great way loosening up fingers if you write/draw or type a lot, and can be used as an alternative to a stress ball, pocket sized and very solid construction. Bought the light tension and will probably be a repeat customer for one of the heavier tension ones as well!

Había oído que estaba bien, se lo regalé a un amigo, me dio envidia y me lo pille. Estoy muy contento si bien es verdad que hay que tener cuidado en no abusar de su uso.
