This is my first Birkenstock sandals and I am not disappointed with the outstanding quality of the materials used. It's a Milano Birko-flor synthetic upper. When buying please use the European size of your feet instead of the US. I found my European size on one of my running shoes. Mine was 42 and it fits well. The one sent to me though was N (narrow) instead of M or R (regular) as ordered. N is actually better for me.

When I purchased this item, it stated that the unisex size will fit a male size 9...This is FALSE!!! Why should I have to pay to return an item that was missed stated and not get my full refund.VERY Disappointed!!!Do Not like False Advertisement.

beware that you will have to pay for shipping if you have to return it on your own dime, which isn't cheap. Also the sandals aren't true to size even if you follow the steps to measure your feet. They are a half size too large, and these sandals aren't made in half sizes, so........buyer beware.

Excellent, and yes, they are real leather with beautiful copper buckles. They are the sandles to wear because they stay on your feet and give your ankles extra support. I have worn these for years. My feet hurt in my 30's while carrying my 6th child (of ten). I tried Merrill Shoes and many more expensive ones to help my feet. I tried Birkenstocks and my foot pain went away completely. Now I bike and go for walks and can lose my weight again easily without pain!

Item was not as described, the uppers are not leather, they are the synthetic stuff. Also, if they are meant to be unisex there is not much room for a man's foot if he has high arches. New holes would have to be added and there really isn't much room for adding holes, the end would be sticking out of the buckle. Not the high quality that I expect from Birkenstock, having worn them for 40+ years. Very disappointed.

My fiance loves them, they take awhile to break in though. The only complaint I have is the fee they charge to speed up shipping. That is ridiculous when the shoes already cost over $100

After breaking my little toe I saw these were a good recommendation to help the healing process.They arrived from Germany very fast and were true to form. Although a little wider than I thought they are adjustable.I would say they take about three days before they break in and would suggest maybe wearing for about 3-4 hrs over a 2 day period first. I love the ankle strap and I felt like I walked a lot better as I wore them and got used to them.

Unfortunately, Birkenstock does not market a 47 EU size any longer. A narrow is also rare to find. But I got one brown medium 46 from Shoemall and just received another, a narrow 46 directly from Germany through Amazon. Since three strap sandals are open shoes, I am hoping the slightly shorter 46 suffices.

I was happy to receive these genuine Birkenstocks at a low Amazon price.I had measured my feet as advised by the Birkenstock website, and ordered accordingly. Unfortunately my lovely sandals are too long, and too tight at the instep. Reluctantly, must return.My experience does not detract from the quality of the sandals. And the Amazon return process is very customer friendly.

Fit and comfort of previous Birkenstocks had been fine. I requested a returns authorisation - no problem - refund, including postage now processed.If a product doesn't work for you and a full refund is made, that's just how it should be.I will have no hesitation in buying from Shoegarten in future.

I bought these to replace a much-loved pair of Naot sandals that did me well for four summers but have now died. My husband bought some birkies last summer and raved about them so I thought I would try them for size. I went for this style as they are "proper" sandals with a heel strap and pretty much identical to the ones I am replacing - only difference is that these have buckles rather than velcro fastenings. I went for a size smaller than what I would normally wear - 38 instead of 39 and they fit perfectly in a roomy, airy kind of way. I would say that my feet are narrow/normal width-wise by the way.I wore them out to town on the first decently sunny day after they arrived and they were comfy straight away - my feet did get a little tired towards the end but I had been wearing them and walking about for about six hours by then. Since then, no problems. I've since snapped up a pair of leather Birkenstock shoes at a bargain price - I'm a convert!

I found these sandals on the internet. I have a hip problem which means bending to the buckles would be a problem , so I ran the Birkenstock customer services. The lady there was very understanding and knowledgeable. We decided the best plan was to order the sandals and take them to a quality shoe repairer and ask the shoe repairer to fit an elasticated gusset within the second strap. This has now happened and I have no problems using a long handled shoe horn to put on the sandals. The Sandals are very comfortable and I can imagine that many people who have hip issues struggle bending / putting on velcro or belt sandals would benefit from this . Full marks to the lady in Customer services / full marks to Birkenstock for a really comfortable pair of sandals. Sandals were delivered very quickly . STRONGLY recommend - a little more expensive but very much worth it

Very pleased with these sandals. Very light but strong and well made. Marvellously comfortable, I’ve worn them every day since they arrived. My pair are the narrow fit and are on the very last buckle hole of the strap.i think the wide fittings would have to much strap at the end of the buckle and would slap when I walked. So if you have smallish foot circumference perhaps choose narrow fit.
