Lift-the-flap Questions and Answers about Dinosaurs

Usborne lift flap books are great for teaching little kids about history and facts. We love our dinosaur book!

Great book for young children curious about dinosaurs. Lifting the flaps maybe just as fun as the actual facts :)

Usborne books are of excellent quality. I bought it for a gift for a 4 year old boy. I work at a school where we have several of these books. They have vibrant colors, and nice quality pages. Beautiful books!

Very informative book. The illustrations are kid friendly. This book is more for kids 5+ due to the amount of text/information on and in the flaps.The only issue I had was that one of the flaps had been partially accidentally glued, which then got torn while trying to open it. Other than that it's a nice book.

My kid loves this book. She is super into dinosaurs right now and wants me to read it with her daily!

I’m very disappointed about some things in this book. I thought that Usborne is a Christian company and I could order their books with confidence that they only print things with a Biblical world view and not an evolution bend but right away this book lists dinosaurs as being millions of years old and other evolution views. I’m disappointed. I will be thoroughly checking any future Usborne books before I buy them, if I buy them.

I would have enjoyed that under the flaps the answers were pictures instead of text since it is meant for 3-5 year old. However my 3 year old is thrilled with it and pages hold up to energetic turning and flipping.

Fun pictures, good info, but helps to already know a bit about dinosaurs if you really want to dicsuss it with your kids

This is one of Usborne’s lift the flap books which is similar to other ‘See Inside’ collection. We have seven others, that’s how much I love them! We have two boys age 6 and 4 and both of them return time and time again to these books and this one in particular is brilliant for Dino mad kids.The language in the book is a perfect balance – it’s simple enough that my six-year-old can now read them, but includes vocabulary like carnivore, herbivore and gastroliths that even keep me and my husband on our toes at weary bedtimes! The flaps keep interest going through facts that would otherwise swamp us and be boring in another format. My six-year-old is at the point where he loves answering questions, and this fits the bill. I love them so much, I often buy them as presents as well.The book is double pages. Each page is thick card and I found the flaps robust. Our boys are not gentle though and I do find that the paper in the spines get torn (see picture) I wouldn’t detract a star for this though as it doesn’t affect use.Overall, another fabulous buy from Usborne, meeting the need for reference books aimed at younger learners.
