Exactly what I needed.
I bought this to store firearms out of reach of my young children. It gets the job done, and I like how the batteries are stored in the door rather than some ugly external battery pack like other small safes.

Instructions were written by somebody who doesn't speak English as their first language.
The instructions were confusing. I went to YouTube. There are lots of safes that have similar hardware.Hold down the reset button five seconds.When you are unlocking the safe, enter the digits of your pin PLUS the # key.You will get hardware to mount the safe on a wooden or concrete surface. If you expect to mount the safe on drywall, you'll have to get creative.

So I am not sure what I was expecting but this safe is amazing! Way better than I would have imagined. It’s solid! Sturdy! Comes with clear instructions.2 sets of keys. It does need batteries if you want to use the keypad.
