My Golden Retriever has gone through so many toys in such short amount of time. However, we went to Costco and bought a 20$ tuffy elephant and has lasted him for so long. So, we decided to buy him this toy and he loves it! It has not torn and feels really firm and durable.

Tuffy toys are great but like any toy you give a hard core chewer, it's doomed from day one.We have two Old English Bulldogs, Harley a 90 pound line backer the size of a Volkswagen and Elvis a 40 pound five month old puppy, both are relentless chewers.That said, I know going into any soft dog toy with a sense of deep sadness and regret, but sometimes you just can't help yourself.When Harley was a puppy he had this odd habit of chewing on a tiny seam or piece of string. We thought is was a puppy phase and that he would grow out of it eventually. Well, it's six years later and we're still waiting. He does this with virtually everything, including our bedding - which is why our prized 1,000 thread count sheets look like swiss cheese.So this particular toy didn't stand a chance, he found the seam within a few minutes and BAM! pulled it open.Not the fault of the toy - the fault of Harley and his 5,000 PSI jaws.It crossed my mind to deduct a point because the seam was literally pulled apart in minutes. But then I remember how these two lunatics just adore this toy.They go absolutely nuts for it.What's left of the Tuffy is parked somewhere in that endless void of half chewed nylabones, Kongs, tennis balls and once adorable stuffed bunnies and hedgehogs that now resemble road kill. But I can tell you this - the Tuffy Tug of War is the ONE toy that excites them as much now as it did the day it first arrived.Watching them crank up the crazy, and getting in on the fun myself makes it all worthwhile In fact I recently ordered the Tuffy Ultimate Three way Tug of war which is a whopping 25" long and 9" wide.If your dog or dogs aren't serial killer level crazy chewers - you'll be just fine and I can see these toys lasting for months on end. If you can relate to our situation, expect a few weeks before it's finally put out of it's misery and tossed out along with the other 40,000 dog toys before it.However, the fun you'll have watching them play with these toys is worth the price of admission alone.

It's huge! I like that it's big but again this toy didn't last that long with the neighbors dog. I wanted something to play tug-a-war with him so this was perfect but like the other Tuffy Ultimate items I have bought, he has chewed right through it. He is an adult black lab and loves to chew. There's no stuffing left in this but we are still able to play with it so it's still a toy for him and he loves it. Can't someone make something tough, fun and lasting that's not plastic for chewing dogs.

My dog went bananas when he saw this. I enjoy grabbing it every time, it’s such a quality, build and material. You can feel it on your hands. He likes to wrestle with it, chew on it, and shake it whenever I’m not around to play tug. It’s my first time getting one of their products and you can’t go back.

My 1 & 2 year old dogs (Labrador retriever and golden retriever) chew through most toys but this one has survived a few months already. Impressed!

My Rottweiler absolutely loves this thing. Lasted almost a year last time I got it.

It’s always been a challenge to find a sturdy soft tug of war toy for my boxer mix. He loves to play tug and pulls hard. This is the only tug toy we’ve found that doesn’t get destroyed after a few hours!

Finally a toy that my dog can't destroy in a day. I'm ordering more!
