just canβt process
Stunned and in awe of the writing here. Really great at revealing hints and exchanges that were truly hints of betrayal.

vibes
I can tell sheβs a new author. I detest the FMC, sheβs a whiny brat who canβt keep her word when it doesnβt suit her. She also is never ready to do anything and has bile issues. BUT I really enjoyed the story. Second book had me questioning how much more could happen before Iβd lose my nerve to finish because of heart break. But I did and Iβm kicking myself that book 3 isnβt done yet. Favorite characters: Axel and Aurora. Great job Mads! Picked this up off one of your TikTok videos.

I donβt know if this makes sense
This novel became too much and I skipped some chapters waiting for something to happen. Yes. Some things happened. Yes there were βplot twists.β The story seemed to drag on with no end in sight. I enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed the events but I was getting to the point of this has to end. Here is my analogy:βFifty Shades of Greyβ without the kinks and filthiness. I read the first βFiftyβ¦β novel. I read every other chapter of the second βFiftyβ¦β Unable to let a series go because I hate starting a series, I read the first two chapters, skipped several chapters, and read the last chapters of the third novel.β That is how I feel about this series.I like the first novel in the series. This book was okay. If I read the third/next novel, it may be three chapters, three middle chapters, and last three chapters. What stands out about this book is its characters. They are the best aspect.I hate writing this because I feel that I might have been in a mood but.. it stalled forever.

Fantasy at its finest
I am deeply grateful to Mads Rafferty for selecting me as an ARC reader for "Heir of Broken Kingdom." It's an honor that I cherish. Having adored "Heir of Broken Fate," I had high expectations, and I'm thrilled to say that "Heir of Broken Kingdom" exceeded them in every way.The first book already encompassed all my favorite tropes, and this continuation did not disappoint. "Heir of Broken Fate" and "Heir of Broken Kingdom" are stories that leave an indelible mark. The profound character growth in "Heir of Broken Kingdom" is both powerful and moving. Rafferty's skill in making readers fall deeply in love with the characters and experience every emotion they feel is truly remarkable. What truly immerses you in this world is the unique world-building and storyline. With every turn of the page, "Heir of Broken Kingdom" elicits laughter, tears, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Rafferty fearlessly delves into the emotional and physical hardships of her characters, making you feel every little thing they experience.Throughout the story, the characters face myriad challenges that change their world. This book has undoubtedly earned a spot in my Hall of Fame. The emotions, heartache, love, and hardship portrayed within its pages are relentless. It's a constant whirlwind of action that compels you to utter, "Just one more chapter," until you've devoured the entire book.I'm already bracing myself for a reading funk that will likely last weeks, eagerly awaiting (albeit somewhat impatiently) the next installment in this gripping saga.

worthwhile second book in series
The plot is goodβ¦. But there is so so much time spent grieving and reminiscing about characters that have passed through the books and regretting actions I ended up skipping pages because it seemed like it was the majority of the book. The FMC is also frustratingly young and immature at times. She has good intentions but acts extremely impulsively and has frequent breakdowns and magical tantrums that it gets old fast. Those things aside the romance between the main characters is good. Great MMC and side characters. Very evil villain to conquer and intriguing storyline with lots of questions. And a betrayal I did not see coming at all. Also very upset my favorite character in the book dies π

Wow
OK that was a roller coaster. But that ending was just wow. I haven't even got words. All I'll say is poor delilah needs a break and some good luck. Cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Another great story
I loved it, I truly did. But the only thing that really bothered me was so much grieving through the whole book. I mean of course I get it, she had valid reasons especially at the end of a book, but I really didn't want to read on every single page her thoughts and mentions of Easton (it is not spoiler if you read the first one) or any other person or memory. It became really repetitive and the book could have been at least 50 pages shorter if the author didn't constantly write about that. But overall, the other thing made up so it is 5 star rating from me!
