I purchased this for my 16 month old grandson and he loved it! BUT he managed to unhinge a bottom rung and put a bead in his mouth! Those 3 straight wooden pieces on the bottom do indeed come apart. I see the glue, but it doesn’t hold well enough. I tested it for smoothness and looked for chipped paint, but did not think to test for sturdiness by pulling on it. I was looking for the original Busy Beads toy from years ago.

18 months is the wrong age. I got this for my son when he was only 6 months old and he loved it then and still does almost a year later

It's smaller than I expected. But that makes it more mobile.

This kept my 1 year old busy, at different times.. he was interested in it and moving pieces around along the wires..But my much older child stupidly/rudely stepped on it and some of the wires aren't as firmly in the wood anymore.So this can withstand a baby but not anyone older with more strength or weight abusing it.It's a decent toy.

At first my 10 month old had no idea how to work this contraption (of course), but after some experimentation he now whips it all around the room and has a blast with it. It's the perfect size for their little hands and has unique beads. It's a great addition to his toys!

Slightly big for my LO but my LO enjoy play with this... 👍🏻
