Niger is a small, oil rich seed that is particularly attractive to smaller birds such as Goldfinches, Greenfinches, Siskins, Linnets and Redpolls. Due to its size it is less popular with the larger birds. High in oil this seed is very similar to the naturally found teasel or thistle. We would suggest a specalist Niger feeder or seed tray that will help avoid wastage and a constant flow of seed.
