Works as described
Works as described to the degree I tested it. It was able to distinguish between a few real diamonds and not real that I have. I was hoping to be able to test other types of gems but I think there is probably a lot more to that than just a single device like this can determine, but really don't know, especially when considering the cost of the item.

Does not work as itโs supposed to. Bag quality.
It dies not work properly. When turned I it keeps beeping. Then when you place it in 4-5 the diamond tester just beeps at the diamond but does not light up where the diamond mark is. So how does one che kid its a diamond or not. Then when you test a lab grown diamond it beeps like a real diamond? How does one differentiate between a real earth grown diamond from the lab grown diamond?

Great product to help you decipher moissanite and diamonds well
We are happy with the purchase. This product works well and we trust the readings. It is easy to use and is very durable. Also, it arrived in the time states. The sound quality is good.

Mostly accurate. It confuses sapphires with diamonds sometimes but is usually accurate.

Excellent, accurate diamond tester can identify other gemstones too
This diamond and gemstone tester does an excellent job identifying diamonds and moissanite. It can easily tell the difference between diamonds, moissanite, genuine gemstones and cubic zirconia, as they all give different readings. It only takes a few seconds for an accurate reading. For diamond and moissanite it gives a beep as well. It's small and durable and comes in a convenient carrying case. It's easy to use and fun, and it's a good value as you can bring this tool antique or thrift shopping in order to find something potentially valuable.
