Buy name brand terminals!
You get what you pay for. I don't know who makes the terminals for Ancor but these are a GOOD product. Most of the garbage found on the "Jungle Store" is just that, GARBAGE! Yes, the Ancor terminals are more expensive. But you are working on an electrical project that most likely has important circuits that you don't want to fail in use... or set fire to whatever you're working on!

Good tinned copper crimp connections with thick heat shrink.
These have been consistent in quality and crimp performance. Pictured is a 10 AWG wire crimped with the Ancor single crimp crimp tool before and after heating the shrink insulation. The performance for 10 AWG wire was great, the performance with 12 AWG was slightly less, but still reliable and secure. You can see that the insulation is thin where it has been crimped, but it does remain intact and completely sealed after applying heat and shrinking the insulation. The after photos show that the thin area created when crimping maintains plenty of thickness and the presence of adhesive all the way around both ends of the heat shrink. After needing to trim some insulation back on one and cutting deeper than intended I can verify that these are tinned copper. The heat shrink is thicker than many I have used and it shrinks slowly making it easy to produce a secure seal and consistent thickness all the way around the connection. As many wires will have different outside diameters, I will point out that my results were produced using Ancor brand wire as well. I did have a few components that needed to be spliced and obtained quality results with those wires as well.

Great quality!
Ancor makes quality, they are heavier material than T&B lugs and the shrink tubing is top notch! knocked off 1 star a little pricey and would like to see a little more length at the barrel crimp area!Yes I would buy again.

Works great
Shrinks up with a heat gun to a tight seal

Looks sturdy and as described
With all the cheap versions of rings, connectors, lugs, etc, on Amazon, it's hard to know if you're sacrificing quality for price. These are listed as UL rated. A bit more expensive than others (I bought M8 10-12AWG rings) but now that I have them in my hands, they look sturdy. I'm connecting short-run wires to a DIY battery box, and many of my components expect 10awg. I don't like skimping when it comes to direct attachments to the battery. With these, so far, so good.

Crimps well and shrinks well
I used a pair of these a few weeks ago.I used the Klein J1006 journey man pliers and a small automotive type of heat gun. After a lot of rotation underneath the heat everything shrinks tight and water proof from what I can tell.

You can’t go wrong with Ancor marine!
I just re wired my entire boat and added some things. I used all Ancor marine wire. I tried another brand because of the price but it wasn’t near the quality wire and insulation. I didn’t use it. I used all Ancor connectors such as these. Again I tried another because of price but the quality just wasn’t there.Ancor is a little pricey but I won’t have to be doing anymore wiring. This will last longer than I’ll be able to fish.
