This machine is Awesome, here's why.
This thing is amazing! I have to be careful with it or I shall attain orbital properties around myself. That said, you need a decent batter. Here's the best:4 egg yolk, 1 can condensed sweetened milk, 3 cups heavy cream, 1 cup whole milk, 2 Tsp vanilla extract. For mint just add an additional 2 Tsp peppermint extract. The vanilla pleasently blunts peppermint to produce mint - just add chocolate ice cream chips.

Initial trial - works fine
The media could not be loaded. We very recently received this product. The bowl was placed in the freezer as instructed. The chilled ingredients were placed in the bowl attached to our Kitchenaid mixer and started. 30 minutes later, the peach Ice-cream was done and delicious.Pros:1) Easy set up and operation. No dealing with ice, rock salt, towels and extra bucket, not to mention the time required for hand cranking.2) Pretty simple clean up.3) The 1.5 quarts is more than adequate for the two of us.4) Less bulk to store when not in use.Cons:The only con, concern really, is the part that attaches directly to the mixer. It is somewhat difficult to attach where it is perfectly centered. The provided literature states this attachment should be centered. It did not seem to affect the operation. However, it may in the long run. We shall see.

Easy and fun to use
I purchased this ice cream maker for my daughter. She has limited space and instead of buying another appliance I opted to get this Kitchen Aid attachment. As soon as she opened it, we hooked it up to her mixer and started making ice cream. The process was easy and fun, and the ice cream maker was easy to clean once we were done. The ice cream turned out great, too!

Stays cold for hours and works great
Take it out of the freezer and it’ll have frost on the inside for hours afterwards. Fits my Kitchenaid mixer perfect. A couple of attachment are to keep it centered and working without binding. The bowl will fit multiple mixer as does the mixer attachment. We’ve made a few batches and zero issues and excellent results.

You will never get 2 quarts of ice cream out of this 2 qt capacity bowl!!
Makes great ice cream and is easy to use. My only question is why does the description state two quart capacity when I can only make less than a quart?? And that amount is almost overflowing in the bowl while it’s churning. All my recipes use 2 c heavy cream, 1 cup whole milk and a couple of eggs and sugar. Not more than a quart of liquid, but I have to push it down to keep it from overflowing. Was I sent the wrong bowl?? I just don’t know. I just Spoke with customer service. I know now that the box and Amazon description are lies. You WILL NEVER get 2Quarts of ice cream out of this 2 quart capacity bowl. Disappointing and misleading.

It works!
It made a good batch of coconut cream ice-cream. We put it in the freezer for 24 hrs. And ran it for 20-30 minutes. You have to make sure the top piece is on correctly. I test fit it first and ran it on medium speed before adding the mixture. I did this because of other reviews where it broke. It worked good and hopefully will make ice-cream for a long time to come.
