My husband LOVES this paddle!! It's sort of a funny story. I know NOTHING about pickle ball but I ordered this paddle for my husband who plays semi regularly. I decided during prime days to do something for him since he doesn't do anything for himself. I originally saw & was interested in some paddles that were sold in couples. I thought, hey, they're on sale basically two for one; so why not?? But then I started investigating & reading reviews. REVIEWS ARE ESSENTIAL & SO VERY HELPFUL!! I learned that those paddles were basically for beginners or novice players. Upon further review, I found that Selkirk was one of the top brands for experienced players. The first game with the new paddle, he and his partner won, 11-0. He likes the paddle's playability, touch and spin capabilities, and thinks it's a great fit for his game. Again, I cannot stress enough how important everyone's review's (you know, the ones who actually know something about the product; unlike me) are to make decisions on products. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Discovered this was one of the leading names in paddles & affordablility Grip: suitable for his game along with backhand shots Size: while it was a little larger than paddles he has used in the past, it was easy to adjust to. Spin: paddle surface is a little rough which allows him to put more spin on the ball; which he like A LOT Durability: so far so good; yet to be seen Feel: very comfortable Control: he prefers control over power & this is a perfect paddle for him

I’ve been playing pickleball for about a year, and this paddle completely exceeded my expectations. Decent beginner paddle at a decent price point. This paddle has good control and feel. The grip is thick and comfortable. My only issue with this paddle is that it doesn't have the same "pop" off the paddle that some of my other preferred paddles have (off brand cheap Amazon paddles) and it feels and sounds more like a piece of hollow wood. Again, still a solid paddle that will keep you in the game, but I wouldn't say that this has the power that some other paddles have.

I am about a 4.0 player and have 2 other paddles. This one is my favorite. Excellent control and I am able to smash the ball at a high speed. I would buy this one again. Great price too.

Paddle is great! Was a nice upgrade over the Franklin one that I had. Happy with the quality, feels lighter in my hand, and feel more accurate than before.

Paddle worked fantastic for first full day of playing. It handled very well with a pretty good size sweet spot. The control was actually very nice as well compared to similar priced paddles I’ve used previously. The grip is also phenomenal compared to some others in the price range. Overall, it performs great and would definitely recommend for a good all around novice paddle. SLK for the win.

Started PB about a year ago with a Dick's package set. Sometimes used a Selkirk loaner at the court. After some time off (life intrudes) we went back to an inside court. I could really feel my cheapskate paddle, so I bought this online for about 1/2 of retail. Got to try it out last week - feels great, even though I still have a weak backhand. My forehand is stronger than I remember, and I am sometimes able to put a decent spin on the ball. Still a Beginner, but my control is Much Better with this paddle. Hope that continues to improve.
