I got this for my Panama hat which, like all straw hats, is sensitive to moisture. It did a great job on my recent trip to Vietnam during rainy season. It's very light weight and packs up nicely in a pocket of my backpack.

I bought these as the stated dimensions were bigger than my reduced profile cowboy hat. This crushed my hat. I had to reshape it afterwards.These might work for very stiff non-felt hats. But certainly not beaver or wool felt.
