I ordered this set of four IWTTWY Book Ends, with are made of black metal featuring a filigree bird design. I love them!The are about 12cm high, rigid black metal, I guess the colour finish is some sort of spray coating; they look to be good quality with little pads below for a non-stick base.I particularly like the arched top, and for some reason they remind me of a stained glass window - um, minus the stained glass!The bird design works for both men and women's tastes, I reckon. I like the filigree cut-out aspect as they look dainty and design-led, rather than something purely functional you'd find in a workplace or library, which I think a colour block would convey. You can still see (most of) the book covers behind these.I believe they will hold up both paperbacks and hardbacks - all but the very heaviest art books. They have had no issues with anything I've used them with.There are four bookends in my pack, enough for two shelves, which for 14.99 at current price is good value. I'd highly recommend getting more to match now, if you're going to need more down the line to match for your decor.Slightly odd, the seller has included two bookmarks in the package which is fun, and added value, albeit a bit left field. For me they were definitely an afterthought, although the younger members of the household have nabbed them and appear rather pleased. The bookmarks I received are of the Statue of Liberty and Big Ben's clock tower, representing New York and London respectively. They are made of very fine filigree metal with what appears to be a leather twine at the top. They remind me of a certain kind of Christmas decoration. Made for the Korean market, it seems, they are decent quality and a nice add-on, but the main selling point in the package is definitely the bookends.

These black metal book ends have been beautifully crafted and are stylised and attractive.They have black circular foam pads at the base to prevent the scratching of underlying surfaces. On inspection, these are surprisingly more lightweight than I was expecting which means that fewer books can be sandwiched between the two bases. However, a lovely addition are the two cut out metal bookmarks of London and New York.More importantly, these do enable untidily leaning books to be upright once again.
