Sumo 3D Printer Enclosure Kit for The Prusa XL - Includes Plexiglass/Acrylic, Fasteners, Hex Rods, Magnets & Hygrometer (Tinted)

I had a few problems which I have reported back to 3D SOURCERER. These were due to the various versions that Prusa has for the XL, and I'm sure there will be updates in the instructions. Speaking of instructions - these are the best I have ever seen, take you through each step with great diagrams. All of the hardware is good and includes many extra pieces for people like me that have nuts and bolts that run away. I'm testing a print in ABS now to see how well it works. I have not quite completed printing all the components for the enclosure, due to an issue with my XL, but the bulk of the parts can be completed on my MK3S. Everything is coming together nicely, all non-printed parts were included.

This is a pretty good enclosure. My biggest complaint is the use of acrylic panels, they just aren't made to last. I wish they had an option for polycarbonate. The Acrylic will develop cracks over time at stress points, especially the side pieces where the screw presses directly on the panels. 3D printed or other soft washers may help to mitigate it but honestly I'd rather pay a bit more to have high quality polycarbonate.The instructions are great, 3d views that are interactive. I did have some issues with the website the instructions are hosted on where it wouldn't proceed, so I had to reload the website. I think it happened 4 or 5 times throughout the build but that is pretty minor.One big thing is if you have issues with your 3d prints printing holes slightly smaller, be sure to run the holes through with a 5mm drill bit (I used a 13/64" (~0.2") drill bit) for all the holes for the M5 screws, otherwise you may have issues with the nuts turning in the captured area which is a real headache.Otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase!

The SUMO enclosure is a solid choice for anyone with a Prusa XL. It's well-designed and made from high-quality parts, including nice-looking plexiglass panels.The main challenge is the amount of printing required. I used nearly two rolls of PETG filament for the SUMO case parts alone. I also printed extra accessories like the Tapo camera and fan mounts, case handles, and corner covers from the 3D Sourcerer website, which fit well with the enclosure.The build instructions on the website are interactive and helpful, though a downloadable PDF option would be useful for offline access. While not a significant issue, it would be a convenient addition.I'd recommend the SUMO enclosure to anyone using a Prusa XL. It's a bit of a project, but the quality and functionality you get are worth the effort.

The Sumo Enclosure for the XL requires a number of 3D prints. You get to choose your colors! I used Orange and Black as you can see in the picture. There is a couple days of printing required and several parts put the large printing volume of the XL to good use. I used the email tech support, and 3D Sourcerer was very responsive, sometimes within minutes. 3D Sourcerer was helpful in guiding me through some printing issues that were not connected to the Sumo product.There are extra parts supplied to complete the build and also add some accessories to the kit, very helpful if you lose a nut or a bolt during the build!

The media could not be loaded.  Very well engineered. All the prints were perfect. Assembly was tedious but the end result is fantastic
