I was hesitant about whether or not my dog would use this. I ordered this out of pure desperation because she gulps her water and then ends up throwing it up because she took in too much. As soon as I got it, I rinsed it off and put water in it and called my dog to the bowl. She took to it immediately and we don't seem to have anymore issues with her over drinking, or at least not drinking too much, too quickly. She also makes less of a mess on the floor than with her old bowl. I also wasn't sure how much water it would hold. It holds 5 fluid cups with just enough room for the top to sit on. 4 cups is probably ideal. I highly recommend.

I almost gave up!But this product is amazing. I used the bowl as is when I received it. And both dogs (Pitbull and german shepherd) took right to it. However. I have elevated bowls. So I noticed that the bowl is hollow so first I put it on the stand and worked fine. But after a few days I realized I can just put the “lid” in my regular dog bowl and it fit perfectly. Not only do I not have dog water everywhere now ... and my shepherd is a water snapper and drooler!. He also has a stupid habit of when he gets excited (like when we get home) he runs to the water bowl. Drinks a few hasty mouths full and runs back to the door. So we had water from the kitchen across the living room all the way to the front door. Every time. Ugh.Now. With this gadget. No more!!!! So happy it really works. It works in any water bowl pretty much he may take a bit longer now to drink all the water he likes to consume but that’s ok. I always make sure it’s full. And it’s easy to see because of the “lid” Happy all around. I work at a doggy daycare and we are ordering more for our sloppy drinkers!

It took a while (a few days) for my pup to get used to it. The green disc floats to the top when the water bowl is full so it looks like the bowl is empty. She did not drink for about a day, but finally figured it out. I had to empty it and make her watch me pour a cup of water in there. Once she figured it out, we are good.She has definitely slowed down. She was drinking too much and one of two things would happen: 1) she would throw up right after or 2) she would slosh water all over the house from being so wet after drinking. Both of those have stopped.

The media could not be loaded.  The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star rating is because my dog is a turd. He hates it so much. Of course, this is our first day trying the new water bowl, so I’d like to give him time to adjust. He was so mad about this bowl that he tried everything in his power to destroy it. He pawed it, bit at it, and avoided it at all costs. He even barked at me because it didn’t meet his standards. My mom’s dog, however, is normal and drinks out of it like a champ. The product is quality. Both pieces are weighted. The size is nice. It truly is a great product. I’m sure my dog will figure it out eventually. He still drips when he’s done drinking. But instead of leaving a trail of water, it just drips on or around the bowl. Which is an improvement. I’m pretty sure there is something wrong with my dog’s face. I’m hoping he adjusts to the bowl soon.

I bought this bo because my 80 lb lab mix is a total slob when he drinks water. He gets half in his mouth and half on the floor. I was tired of mopping up puddles. This bowl was a perfect solution. I was skeptical that it would work or that he would be smart enough to figure out that there is water under the floating green disk. It was proven wrong. It prevents him from sloshing water everywhere and I underestimated his smarts. He knew how to drink from it right away.

This was the answer to my bearded dog's constant drippy chin!! She would slop water everywhere and stick her whole face in her water bowl, then get it all over the floor/people's clothes/furniture. I bought one of these to try and although she gets a little water on her chin still, it's a night and day difference from what it was. I bought a second one when I got another dog since they don't hold much water.

YES! I have a 6 month old boxer who loves to tear into his water bowl, living in Texas the heat can be unbearable.His figured out how to get the water to come up right away and I love that only so much water comes up at a time. It’s helped with the excess water on the floor but to be honest there is still water on the floor but not nearly as much as before. I would definitely recommend this bowl to anyone with similar water/dog problems!

This is a good concept and I'm glad it works for some people, but as far as "throw up control" goes, this did not work for my dog. We've had it for 3 days and it's a very straight forward bowl, but unfortunately my dog just threw up water on the floor again. I really wanted this to work. With a toddler in the house, I sometimes miss when my dog throws up and if the water sits long enough, it buckles my hardwood. Its a huge problem; no one wanted this to work more than me.
