It will not hold if mounted on a vertical surface
Tried and it will not hold on a vertical surface. After a day, it fell off. Unfortunately it did not work for me. Maybe it will work if you mount it on the dash.

This is a fantastic design that works great in my 4Runner (which is difficult to find a mount for). It is compact and swivels, making it very user friendly. Highly recommend!!
