The Alamo Chamoy Pickle Kit was pretty intimidating to me. I know all about the TikTok trend, and ordered this for my pickle crazy daughter. She, apparently, likes hers green though and I had to convince her to try this with me. At first sniff, it smells like a strong dill pickle which I think surprised us both. It certainly doesn't look like one.We didn't go all out and buy other ingredients to stuff it with, we just tried it plain and with the Tajine and lemon lime salt it came with. The pickle itself has good crunch and actually a strong sour/dill flavor. It's on the saltier side. We added the other ingredients and tasted that too. I wouldn't say they improved it but it was fun. I'm not sure which element made my tongue tingle but I still feel it an hour later. Not unpleasant and overall harmless fun.

Omg it’s so good. It was so nicely packaged with care. I hollowed out the inside and stuffed it with Takis. It was delicious. The pickle tastes like a regular dill pickle with a hint of heat. Pickle itself isn’t very spicy, but the Takis and tajin made it taste spicy. It’s such a good combination. I got this because I was worried about putting a bunch of candy on it like the ones that you see all over TikTok. This was great. The heat definitely builds so the more bites you take, the more spicy it gets. It’s hard to eat all in one sitting personally but I don’t like eating a ton at once. Definitely recommend this.

Like any food, taste is obviously subjective. While I may not like this, it's possible that you will.I was excited to try this and had never heard of it before. I was surprised to open the pickle package and see the red! It's actually quite beautiful! I purposely dumped it into a bowl to save the liquid because being as though it's such a huge pickle, I wanted to be able to put it back in the juice if I had some left. I would highly advise to be careful with the juice and the pickle as I'm sure the coloring would dye and stain anything you spilled it on.As for the taste, it's very sour. Extremely sour. There's a hint a heat but that's in the background. I just found the sourness overwhelming. I had someone else try it and they didn't like it either. I just threw it out.The baby tijan and lemon seasonings are cute and fine but I wouldn't order this again. If you like really sour pickles though, it might be worth a try.

Ok first off, without the additional seasoning provided. This is just a giant dill pickle. If there was other flavor in the brine, I didn't taste it. As a pickle itself, I thought it tasted good as a dill pickle.But OMG there was an overkill insane amount of red food coloring. Just taking it out of the package to put on a plate so I could cut it into a few pieces my hand was stained red for the rest of the day.As far as the included seasonings, the lime salt, while good on its own, and likely useful for other things, the only thought I had was that, a dill pickle didnt need more salt, so after trying one bit with that, I was done using the lime salt. The other seasoning was a little spicy and had a great flavor that I enjoyed with the pickle, and would be very good used as a seasoning for other things as well.Overall, if you know what you are ordering, I don't think you will be disappointed. The pickle itself tasted good and I enjoyed it with and without the spicy seasoning. I just think that the food dye was overkill.

We had never encountered a red pickle until now! The pickle itself was good, definitely more sour and a little spicier than a standard dill pickle, but not overwhelming. We also tried it with the included salt/lemon powder and tajin. The salt/lemon powder was really good and takes away some of the spiciness. The tajin is also good but adds more spice! The two seasonings together were the best - a little salt, a little spice and the sour from the pickle were a good combination. Overall it was a good pickle and I would recommend it as a gift for someone who likes pickles or for a unique side to serve at a BBQ.

This pickle is red inside, like a beet! I feel like red food coloring might be the second ingredient, lol. Pickle had a good sour and slightly spicy flavor but the texture was a bit rubbery. I enjoyed the lime salt and the tajin in the super cute mini bottle. Definitely don’t hand this to a kid inside your house or in a car, there will be bright red stains everywhere!

I enjoy trying new foods. Sometimes they are a miss but sometimes I find my next favorite food. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this chamoy pickle. This is quite different than any other pickles I’ve tried. It’s super sour and a bit spicy too. It’s softer in texture than I expected. It’s a bit rubbery too. I wish this pickle came in a resealable bag. The pickle was too big for me to finish in one sitting and the bag is full of bright red liquid. Btw, the pickle is the color of a beet as a result of sitting in the red liquid. Overall, if you are an adventurous eater this is something you may want to try. It may be your next favorite snack (or not).
