Five stars for the quality of the belt and five stars for customer service. The first belt I ordered was too small so I was able to exchange for the next size up. There seems to be some confusion for how to size this belt as reflected in the comments. The best advice I can give is measure your mid section where you will wear the belt. Even so, I ended up with a belt that was too small. I've attached a picture of the belt dimensions between the medium and large belts.

This belt has become my favorite lifting belt. It fits snug and gives plenty of support. I like that it's sturdy but soft so there is no break in time. It was comfortable and supportive the first time I used it. I have used nylon and leather belts and this one from Dark Iron is my go to belt now. It doesn't dig into my ribs and there's plenty of holes to get just the right compression. Looks good too with the red stitching. Seems like a solid belt so far!!

First and most important advice I can give is be honest about your waist size when ordering this belt. It fits true and I highly recommend selecting a size where your waist measurement hits as close as possible to the middle of the belt's size range. For example: I'm a 36" waist so I ordered a Medium which ranges from 32"-40" and it is PERFECT. Gives me room to shrink/grow, but also doesn't leave you with an excess of material when buckled.Material is much softer then I could have imagined. Which is a plus because I was concerned that the belt would be too rigid and uncomfortable to wear. It is literally the opposite and I'm so relieved and happy with this purchase. I'm someone who has a long torso, has had multiple disc ruptures in my lower back/spine over the years, and has also been diagnoses with both spondylosis and scoliosis...and having this belt has been absolutely fantastic. It gave me the the ability AND confidence to go heavier with the lifts I use it for. During my first use, my PR for deadlifting immediately went up 25 pounds.The quality is fantastic as well. Since I actually ordered the wrong size (a size too big) and have to use the tightest setting on the belt to make it work for me, I initially had concern that the small notches/holes would begin to stretch out from all of the tugging...which would be bad for me since I don't have a tighter setting to move up. But the quality is so good that the notches/holes haven't been compromised in the slightest.

This really should get five stars because it is a fine belt. I sent mine back because even though I was VERY careful to order precisely the right size, I still got one that was too large. This was MY fault. Read the instructions carefully and measure around your belly where this thing will be worn and believe the numbers you get. Thankfully Amazon has enough flexibility to make up for customers like me who sometimes just screw things up. If you need a first quality, abdominal belt there aren't any that are better than this at the money.

I have had 3 back surgeries almost 10 years ago. Spinal fusion. Typical stuff.The last 4 years I have returned to what I love to do and that is have a focus on fitness. The last 2 years have had me working on progressing the 3 lifts, squat, deadlift, and bench. My progress was slow on squats and deads because I have to be cautious.Recently a friend has turned me on to powerlifting which is all about pushing the strength limits. I needed a belt as I have been doing everything raw for the last 2 years.This belt fits the bill and I feel much more confident, stronger, and more secure in my lifts that make my spine more vulnerable like heavy back squats or bent over barbell rows. Used it every session for almost 6 weeks now and it shows very little wear.Very pleased with it. It will def work for now while I keep scraping funds together to get more equipment to make my lifts safer.Also, I have a 34-36 waist, am 6'0 tall, and weigh in around 220#. I ordered a large and it fits just fine.The only thing I wish it was a second loop after the first loop about 8 inches from the first loop to keep the extra bit of belt from dangling down when I go to get into deadlift stance. ITs not terrible tho and I usually wrap the bottom of my shirt over and behind the top of the belt and it keeps it from hanging out.5/5

Well I'm not expert when it comes to workout gear or weight lifting belts. Ive only been at this weight lifting stuff for 6 month, prior to that it was mostly cardio/workout DVD's at home. So after getting into a good routine and with a group of guys who have been at this for a while it was recommended I get a belt for safety as well as assisting with keeping the core tight with certain exercises.I must say so far i've been really happy with this belt!! The difference with and without this belt during my workouts was immediately noticeable. It fits well, seems to be made of quality material that will last.I typically update my reviews as my opinion of the product changes. So be on the lookout for any future updates I may have. At this point I highly recommend this belt to anyone who's in the market.

Used this for the first time ever for trap bar deadlifts, Made it easier to lift wish I had used it before. Very comfy.

I use this belt 4 times per week. I'm by no means a weight training expert but I find this belt very comfortable and it certainly helps me with squats and deadlifts. I'm 5'9" with 32" waist. I bought the small belt and it fits me perfectly. I'd say this belt is ideal for novice/intermediate level.

Excellent quality and Provides great support!

Absolute top quality belt. Amazing for the price as well. I was worried as it is leather that it would take some wearing in but it was good to go straight out of the box. Got it to replace a belt that used to dig in and became quite painful and this belt causes none of that. Been using it a few times a week for a month now and love it.

seems to be well made, a good buy for what it is advertised as.if you are after a sturdy powerbelt for heavy lifts this is not the belt i would reccomend, to thin and elsatic for my taste for heavy singles and such.bought it for my daugther she wanted something not as ..... burly... as dads leather powerbelt and it seems to be a good match

Best belt I've ever used and much cheaper than belts I've used in the past. Flexible and comfortable to wear, holds up well during heavy lifting and doesn't feel as constricting as other belts.

So far so good. It’s first of a can be folded up nicely so it’s easy to transport to the gym and carry around. The fit is amazing there are millions of holes so it’s easy to find one that suits.The comfort is also great.. it doesn’t dig into you like some belts which is good as you don’t want that feeling at the boot on of a squat! Does what it’s meant to. Keeps you stable in the right places and gives you that bit more confidence..Finally and most importantly.. looks badass! A lot of people complement me on it and request where to buy.
