What's the weight capacity of this bench?

I am unaware of a stated weight limit. A family member has sat on the bench. He weighs nearly 300 pounds. However, we do not use the bench for sitting. It is essentially a decorative display.

The tip of the legs move outward when one sits on chair. Design flaw since tips are not directly above where it attaches. How to make them durable?

The bench is comfortable enough and if properly put together and tightened well, I don’t see the problem. It feels strong, does not wobble, is sturdy and I feel is safe.
