EEP is a family favorite
We loved the Evil Emperor Penguin Book! The other book in the series was hilarious as well. Both the kids and adults in my family found this book hilarious. I don't know what we would do without Eugene and Keith in our lives :)

Excellent exploration of the evil genius of Evil Emperor Penguin ...
Excellent exploration of the evil genius of Evil Emperor Penguin and his cute minions as they attempt to take over the world with adorable sweaters, fear machines, and - of course - farts. Perfect for kids with no violence whatsoever. Can't wait for the sequel!Evil Emperor Penguin Strikes Back! (The Phoenix Presents)

Hilarious!
I just love Laura Ellen Anderson’s sense of humour. It comes out even better in this series than it does in Amelia Fang or Rainbow Grey. EEP is the best!

Quite British, quite silly and quite penguin.
There's a stark divide in the family over Evil Emperor Penguin. Two thirds of us like it, the other third don't. Evil Emperor Penguin is a penguin who lives in Antarctica, has minions and a butler. He obviously has some sort of posh English accent, has quite British eccentricities and enjoys (only eats) tins of spaghetti hoops, ".. and make them extra hoopy!" The comic journals his attempts to take over the world, many of the World Leader Conferences tend to centre around the UK, particularly London. He seems to have a slight case of dyslexia which adds to the charm of his ultra evil plans. To be honest, it's quite questionable how "Evil" he really is, he comes across more as someone who has life goals, and will achieve it by removing all the biscuits in the land.

Big hit with 7 year old son
Bought all the books in this series for my 7 year old son who discovered the books through the local library. It certainly is a bit hit with my son. He adores the characters and talks about the books all the time. He has re read all the books a fair few times now.My son says "These books were incredibly funny and I liked the main character because he was a penguin and I like penguins. The book should definitely be 5 stars."

Title is a spoiler alert
I was rooting for EEP and thought finally he was going to break that run of bad luck and actually take over the world. Imagine my disappointment on reading the "(Almost)" on the cover of the book and realising his evil plans would be scuppered once more.
