Tears I cry for you!
This was such a hard book to read. It was very graphic in parts but it could only have been written in this way.Sophie I wanted to just, scoop you up and give you the love you never had as a child. To the "woman" who gave birth to a baby which grew up to be a little girl so frightened and unloved. SHAME ON YOU! Your don't deserve to be called anything - especially mother!I just wish you all the luck in the world and your children - but they dont need luck because They have the best mum in the world and dad of course.

Heart wrenching
I still cannot believe that children suffer in this way and it breaks my heart as a mother and grandmother that this is happening in our society and probably always will, I can only admire these children who survive such abuse and speak out about it and hopefully will help put an end to child cruelty and child abuse, I would like to be able to help children in this situation in anyway I can and am going to find out about what I can do to help, God bless you and your beautiful family Sophie xx

Excellent
Really interesting compelling read, didnt want to put this book down. After all the books I have read like this and there is a lot we are surrounded by sex offenders, they are everywhere, very frightening.

So sad, so beautiful in the end
Heart breaking read but I'm so glad she found happiness in the end. The authorities and Sophie 's family back then ought to be haunted forever for what they put her through, so many times I wanted to reach into the book and pulling her out tuck her up in my spare room and look after her. Unfortunately I guessed it would only be a matter of time before the grandma joined the evil around Sophie, I found this the biggest let down of all a s she had acted as a sort of mainstay for her. The mother ought to face child cruelty charges although from what I have read sounds as though she had a mental illness she should've been given medication maybe then poor Sophie wouldn't have become the outlet.

A true survivor
This is the first book that I have ever read, regarding this subject that truly points a finger at the authorities that so badly let her down. There were so many missed opportunities where this child's life could have been put on a better track. Yet again it is easier for people to look the other way than to face the horrors and depravity that surround some, if not many children. All we need to do is take that little extra time to really look at a situation that your gut feeling is telling you is nt right. I only wish that Sophie 's grandma good have had the strength to believe her. Good luck in everything that you do Sophie.

eye opener
Its the worst case iv'e ever read about. I don't know how Sophie got through each day. She had to face just about every abuse there is.I nearly stopped reading the book because of the horror of all that happening to a small child. She had no help from anyone not even her own mother! I'm glad i finished her story. It was so good to hear it had a positive ending. Bless you Sophie.
