It's a textbook........
Book was fine. Sadly I am apparently better informed than many of my peers and I found the book to mainly cover cases and laws with which I am already familiar. If you don't stay up to date on school law than this book will be fine, but there were no cutting edge cases. There is more current info online, but it is a textbook, so.......... like most textbooks it has tried to stay up to date, and the info in it is correct as of the date of publication.

An essential resource for California educators, parents, and attorneys.
Perhaps the most comprehensive and readable summary and explanation of California's education laws I have found. It also includes summaries of federal laws that apply to education in every state. Anyone who is involved in California education law will not find more "bang for the buck" than this book.

Readable, thorough, yet consice. The only caveat is that it's a few years old, but overall I'm very happy with this product.
