Zoo Med Eco Carpet for 40 Gallon Tanks

Smaller than it says

It was exactly what we were looking for but it was not the size we needed… we ended up going to the local pet store and got the right size!

Works great but a couple inches short for my 40 gallon

Did not fit a 40 gal was too small

I use the Eco Carpet for my 16 year old Gecko. I've never had any problems with the carpet, and every 6 months I order a new one, but cleaning it is easy, and I'm sure you can have the same carpet for a couple years. The look of it is simple, but you can do a lot with it. I only use it for my Leopard Gecko, because I have my other animals in natural Bio-active enclosures, but that's just my preference, but its by far the easiest substrate I have. In the past, I used it for my Tropical, Boa constrictor, and also had no problems. I order 40 gallon carpet, but cut it down to the perfect size, which is easy. I have no intentions on changing substrate for my gecko.

It was a lot skinnier and narrower for our bearded dragons tank. So there was about half a inch that the mat didn't cover. Overall it was a good deal.

This repti carpet is amazing for leopard geckos. Just cut to size and it fits in whatever tank perfectly I have an Exo Terra medium-low. I use this because you can machine wash it with clear and free detergent wash on delicate cycle and hang to dry. As of leopard geckos and bearded dragons we don't recommend using loose substrate. For leopard gecko this is a great alternative for sand which will cause impaction in your gecko which will result in death. I also use this for my elderly bearded dragon although for a young beardie I would use the repti carpet that has the sand attached to it and for juvenile I would use newspaper. As with all animals to make you do your research.

The eco mats are so much more convenient to clean than sand or wood. It doesn't smell and is super easy to clean. Will be a repeat purchase.

I bought this item for my leopard gecko because I wanted a change from substrate. I couldn’t find any in my local area so I resorted to Amazon. It shipped within the days but when I opened my box the actual box for the carpet was destroyed. It looked like someone picked it from the trash. Anyways I flattened it out and when I tried to place it in my 40 gal tank it was WAY to big (this is for 40 gal right?). So I measured and cut it by hand, both length and width.Visually it looks good, I’m just disappointed that I had to cut it by hand. The box part isn’t a huge deal, it just bothered me as well.I wont bother ordering another carpet online, I’d much rather rest my luck locally.

Just what I was looking for, it’s a little curled from the box but I’m sure an iron will take care of it size it’s directly under my heat lamp and not melting

Exactly as pictured, what you would find in a pet store. It was a little too narrow for my tank but it was the exact measurement as in the pictures.
