luckily I'm yet to use it, but I'm a 19yo girl, and I walk my dog at night due to her anxiety so I got it just in case and help me feel safe. it feels stong and sterdy, very easy to use it's very loud, tho if you ever have to use it, I recommend activating it and throwing it as far as you can

One of the alarms didn't work properly and the alarms could have been louser hence the 4 star
